  1. One of Francis or Mathieson, Essendon simply don't get both Curnow & Wideman, one of them will fall to us at 7.
  2. Fair call, I just remember everyone including myself thinking we found a player here and then turned out to be our whipping boy. Not sure what went wrong with him after such a promising start.
  3. I hope now he has earned his spot in the senior side and a contract, he doesn't stop competing and going the extra level to become even better and a consistent contributor. Blokes like Jordie Mckenzie come to mind when he first played with his ferociousness around the ball and tackling and we thought "Gee, we have a player here" I hope his attitude stays positive, we have had too many players in the past who choose to take the easy option after putting pen to paper. Bring on 2016. Go Dees!
  4. Bloke from my work, his father works for Redlegs function. Has dinners with a lot of melbourne footy club players once every 3 or so weeks.
  5. We will be getting Parish at 3 and one of Wideman/Curnow at 7. Bookmark it.
  6. With the right diet, training anyone can bulk up.. It's not a matter of 'I wonder if he can bulk up or not' I used to have Parish's frame at his age and similar height. I started to eat 5 meals a day, all good clean bulking foods, did sprints, lifted heavy weights and I've put on heaps of mass. And the smaller you are, the easier it is for you to bulk up.
  7. It's either going to be one of: Parish / Curnow Parish / Wideman I reckon.
  8. Curnow will fall to 7. Essendon would be dead set keen on Weideman and there is no way they are drafting wideman and curnow at four and five. They will probably draft Francis and wideman, Gold Coast Milera leaving us with Curnow.
  9. I agree. Take Sam Mitchell for instance, or Scott Pendlebury. Their testings in the draft camp wouldn't have been outstanding. Hell, Dean Cox is faster than Pendlebury over 30m. It's about drafting players who show that competitive instinct, that nature and that football brain.
  10. I'll say it before and I'll say it again. A 2 minute highlight video means everything for supporters but nothing for recruiters. Look at Freeman's highlights vs Salem's. Everyone got sucked into Freeman's burst ability, the way he would slice through opponents like butter.. Salem's highlights were competitive, neat kick, a hard runner and tackled well. Parish may not have the flashiest highlights, but he is everything we are looking for in a future AFL star. Someone who will be competitive week in and week out, not go missing.
  11. Everyone keeps saying we are desperate for mids which I think is incorrect. We are desperate for ready made mids to help our core nucleolus of mids. We have viney, petracca, Salem, brayshaw, vandenberg, melksham pick 3 this year most likely parish, Salem, trengove waiting, and for depth we have been Kennedy who can play mid, michie, Newton and more. I don't think we are desperate for mids from the draft. We are desperate for mids like Tyson or Vince.
  12. Seems logical Dazzle.. Don't forget though GC still have Jack Martin & Jarrod Garlett. Too many of the same type of player maybe? Not sure if they would need a bollocking inside mid or not to help out the likes of Ablett & Prestia. I hope one of Curnow and Francis slides to us.
  13. Either was Miles. GWS have a plethora of talent and need to cull their list. Some of the players who end up getting culled still have an immense amount of talent.
  14. With all the discussions and trades with Gold Coast, I have a feeling we know what they will be taking at 6, which made upgrading to 7 that important. To me, I'm not worried about 'who might slide to us' because MFC wouldn't have upgraded our picks to 3 and 7 blindly not knowing who will be available to us, especially pick 7. Who that player is though I don't know.
  15. Gee, Milera is huge! Didn't expect him to be that tall and so evasive. Looks good!
  16. 3. Parish 4. Curnow 5. Weideman 6. Franics 7. Best available How I think it will go down.
  17. To me, Bugg seems like he will be a solid contributor. Nothing flashy, just a solid week in-week out contributor. Right now, that's better than having blokes like Mckenzie, Bail and Co. running around providing nothing.
  18. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY EPIC HAHAHAH
  19. Parish sounds and looks like a name that someone would be a great player.. I can just picture myself looking at Footy Live app and seeing Parish, D.. Lets get excited fellas!
  20. Honestly, I am pulling my hair out thinking who we are going to choose at pick 3.. Parish or Curnow.....This really feels like a Toumpas vs Wines situation again. One bloke is clearly the highly rated player, the other is a big bodied solid midfielder who is explosive. HALP ME
  21. Can I just say, don't be underwhelmed by this guy. He is an absolute pocket-rocket. What he may lack in height + kicking penetration, he makes up for it on hard ball and loose ball gets. Despite what some people may think, he will be a great addition to our side playing a half forward/midfield role. Think Dayne Zorko but quicker. I think he will be a real gem.
  22. Are we even linked to Aish in the slightest?
  23. Kennedy will bring double the effort and determination than what Howe & Toumpas brought combined. I'd rather bring in players who set the bar high in terms of training, work ethic and 1%'s than blokes who sit on our list and provide nothing.
  24. I'm worried is to what this has cost us.. Any ideas?
