  1. Oliver looks like a bull out of the gate. kozzy will be sorely missed mcadam has real talent Rivers has presence in the midfield Tom Campbell will be a good replacement if Gawn is injured
  2. Maybe if we wait 100 years something right will turn up. In the meantime we can continue sharing sun standard facilities with storm, victory and melb city.

Congratulations to Simon and Kristine on this special day. May your futures be full of love, prosperity and premierships.
  4. No possible way we are playing Gawn and Campbell in the same side. What do you suggest Campbell does for 20 minutes per quarter when. Or playing Ruck?
  5. The question is can you fit lever, may, petty and tmac in the same backline?
  6. Two benefits: 1. For teams that play both marvel and mcg equally. We played marvel 1-2 per year. So no need. 2. Tho other is to rotate activity on ovals so the grass can grow properly
  7. We played Turner, jvr and petty in the same side last year. Jefferson could replace petty
  8. Not sure about sharp in the 22. Will need to see him play a practise match to see his skill level. Can you have a side with 4 tall backs? Or do you need another mid? would also like to see Jefferson claim a spot. Not sure who he takes over?
  9. Agree.. there will be enough financial support when the dream becomes reality
  10. Seems that petty will be moved back. Jefferson, Turner, jvr, Kozi, fritch and mcadam will be the forward line. Maybe Langford as well
  11. Vacant land, 8km from the CBD isn’t going to stay that way for long. Glen eira council has the least amount of parkland in any Victorian Council. The deal is done. Well done to the MFC for jumping onto this initiative. Kudos to kate and Gary pert
  12. “While the project is not yet guaranteed, it would take a considerable and unexpected setback from here for it not to come to fruition” very promising line

He was never recruited as a ruckman. He was a forward that could pinch hit for 5-10 minutes per quarter. Not sure why the club is getting flak for recruiting him. We paid nothing for him and he was never expected to be an Outstanding taken
  14. It seems that the MFC move to Caulfield racecourse is all but a done deal. The scopus purchase has pushed this issue front and centre and will force the decision makers to finalise the arrangement asap. They’ll want to synchronise all projects to ideally complete together. I for one am looking forward to finished precinct
  15. Much of it would come from the sale of the Burwood campus and primary school centres in st Kilda and Caulfield. Even so, $195m is a lot of money and that’s without anything being built. I won’t even have a guess on how much it will cost to build a school
  16. Cash? You do realise you can buy a property without paying 100% of your own cash.
  17. I believe that MFC admin will be freehold and its training ovals will be crown owned.
  18. A rare win, win, win for all parties
  19. I believe they are trying to get outside entities to invest in the new master plan. They won’t be able to fund this themselves. In addition there is push by government to utilise the middle of the track better than it currently is
  20. They are buying 75,000 sqm of land. Surely the can squeeze in a 12,000 sqm oval?
  21. I’m sure that for $195m the MRC can find another 15mteres to cater for an oval. I might be wrong, but I wouldnt be spending that much money in order to share grounds with MFC and the whole Glen eira community
  22. There is space within the 75,000 space that scopus is buying to fit in a 12,000 sqm oval. They only need 120m in width. I can’t see scopus paying 195m for land and then have to negotiate the use of the ovals. They will build their own dedicated oval.
  23. The area that the MFC earmarked (which isn’t part of the school purchase) is still 10,000 sqm. This is a sizeable allotment to build an admin centre and indoor facilities
  24. It would have been a lot easier for scopus as they aren’t planning on using the facilities inside the track which is crown land. They just purchased the MRC freehold
