Dees are lucky to have 5. they will run rings around us by shear force of numbers. Unfortunately we are 3-4 midfielders off being a decent side

It seems that Oliver has lost his zip. He used to be able to take possession and burst out of a stoppage. He also had a great ability to take a mark, turn and run past the player on the mark. he has become much more stagnant this year and has lost a yard or two from his games

Don’t want to make an excuse for that horrible performance however it is so out of character. Is there another explanation other than being completely outplayed? During the pre match telecast they mentioned that it’s been raining heavily and the ground was wet and heavy. Since 2021 we haven’t played well mid season. It’s been a common theme for the past 3 years. Theory is that it’s got to do with a loaded training run during this period. could a heavy, wet track and a loaded training regime explain this performance? i know im clutching at straws but i cant just accept that the players gave up after 4 minutes.
