Yes not a great trade but with a decent pre season McAdam does have ability and could fill the void of Kossie's suspension.
-
And an absolute jet! Welcome in Demon colours any day of the week. North have virtually given away two generational players in JHF and Reid. Pathetic.
-
Didn't JHF leave North for Port after one season?
-
Kossie and pick 5 for Harley Reid🙏

Deelectable replied to Macca's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm of the strong belief all of this scrutiny will galvanise our club and help take us to the next level. Trac will stay and there will be new talent. Some coaches will leave and that is due. With a modicum of luck we will be top 4 next season. Go Demons!! -
So it took weeks if not months for Houston to commit to his club and saying he was going nowhere. OMG! Does his silence in that period mean his club was in crisis and culture in tatters? Is his integrity questioned? Such hypocrisy. Petracca cops it from all quarters. Houston is a hero.
-
No. He is the greatest. Simon Madden next but did more work as a forward. As a pure ruckman Max has no peer.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but even if this was remotely feasible aren't draftees tied to their club for 3 years now or can they be traded upon mutual agreement? Love Kossie but if the latter is accurate I'd be doing it in a heartbeat!
-
Some good points you've made but if Clark and his cohorts are on the money about our 'culture'(God I've grown to hate that word!) why on earth would anyone come near us? Of course we all know that's not true but I found it more than ironical that on the same show that MFC's apparent problems were laid bare, less thelan 5 seconds later all panellists agreeing that Daniel would be a good fit for the Demons. Fair dinkum! The Three Stooges.
-
Quite like Jay Clark but I find it fascinating that he is part of a huge chorus of journo's seriously questioning our culture. In the same breath saying that Caleb Daniel would be a good fit at the Dee's. Sort of replacement for Gus. So which is it? Bad culture that repels players or somewhat of a destination club? If we're so dysfunctional why would Daniel or any players want to come near us? These blokes just make it up as they go along and conveniently forget aforementioned statements and prognostications.

Never looked likely. Schache is a relief.
-
In a heartbeat. Match winner.
-
Thanks for that. Sincerely hope it's Eagles,Tigers and North twice.
-
Apologies for my ignorance but does that mean we are definitely going to get Tigers, Eagles and Roos twice or not?
-
If Saints lose this we will most likely slide to pick 7 with the Josh Battle compensation.
-
Not now!

Swans supporters are the dumbest in the game. Clueless. Use those happy clappers which is so annoying. It's a place full of theatre goers that know little about the game. It's an experience if you've never been there.
-
I love it! Thanks Suns. Go Saints!!

AFL is a joke. Seriously Moore slipped. End of!

Blues were lauded for their victory with a second string team last week. What people forgot is that the Eagles are virtually an average WAFL team atm. Go Saints!!
-
We had way more inexperienced players on the park. Pies just about the oldest in the league. One could mount an argument that they were anywhere near affected by injury like us. We had close to 10 first team players out to their 3. Not even close. Because McStay caused us trouble in one game means little. Cox destroyed Richmond in the 2018 prelim. Both he and McStay are average players. DeGoey was indeed a miss. As the late and great Ron Barrasi was oft quoted " there were reasons why we lost, not excuses".
-
'They had a ton out'? DeGoey and Mihocek. Mitchell is cooked and McStay is bang average. Who else? We had 5 AA superstars missing, Windsor,Sparrow and Spargo. That's forgetting about Brayshaw and Smith who weren't able to replace. Sorry, no comparison.
-
This has been obvious for weeks. Missing out on finishing 8th and a likely early exit comes with huge benefits. Not only a better fixture, although don't bet on us getting the Tigers twice, longer off season and return to pre season earlier. The cherry on the cake is the draft position. If by some miracle results go our way this weekend we will have circa pick 5 as opposed to around 11 or12.Huge!! Been advocating this for weeks. The big one is StKilda. If they lose we are likely shunted back two draft places with the impending departure of Battle. Hoping for a decent win for the Suns and the Blues to capitulate.🤞

It excuses all of the above. Panic merchant. Same rhetoric after we narrowly missed the finals in 2020. We were favourites to win the next 5 wooden spoons according to many on here after the disastrous 2019 season. Laughable.

I called for that 3 weeks ago.
