  1. Interestingly KFW 'managed'. Code for dropped. Needs to go back to suburban football for some time to see if he's actually got anything. Unfortunately for him, and us, I strongly doubt that he has.
  2. He might be one game short of a gallop but I would love to see Turner come in for BBB tomorrow night and play forward. He's aggressive, quick off the mark, can kick for goal, compete and, best of all, versatile. Just needs a reasonable run with injury.
  3. So we have Demon Seats+ memberships. Access to 16 games. Does that mean we can just scan at the gate and sit in a general area? Not accepting the barcode online.
  4. In a heartbeat! Can turn a game un a quarter. Probably not tough enough for Hardwick. At 23 his best is ahead of him. Not sure how he gets to us though?
  5. No worries mate. None of us can be 100% on these things. Even better than Moore early on was Kelvin Templeton. They came together in an unprecedented coup. Pretty sure I was at a game at Kardinia Park when Templeton booted 8 goals in his second game for our club. Simply sensational! I was extremely buoyed with confidence with the brilliant Moore and others. Alas, Templeton's 3 seasons at Melbourne were riddled with injury and the rest is history. He did kick 51 goals in an interrupted second season and averaged a creditable 3 goals per game in a poor team hampered by achilles and other issues. What might have been....
  6. Fullerton was good and could have kicked 5. Personally I would like to see Turner tried up forward and give BB a rest. The only caveat about the form line from Sunday is that Port are likely to be a cellar dweller again. Mind you, Casey not travelling that well. I suppose the club might think that Turner needs more than one game back. I hope not. I think he has a big upside and provides versatility. Wouldn't mind seeing what Fullerton at senior level. Gives Max a chop out and allows JVR to spend more time up forward which hopefully might be a badly needed confidence boost against the Tigers.
  7. I respectfully beg to differ. He left Collingwood in somewhat acrimonious circumstances. Loved his time at the Dee's.
  8. Peter Moore won a Brownlow with us. If a debilitating back/ hamstring issue didn't cut his career short by at least a season Darcy Moore could well have been in Demon colours. Moore openly stated he loved the MFC.
  9. Laurie Fowler was a reliable and consistent back pocket, nothing more. Yes, good pick up.Robbie Flower is still the greatest Demon I've ever seen. How he doesn't make it into the top 50 lists of GOAT'S is bemusing. Of his 272 games I reckon I missed only a handful live. To have won only one b &f and Fowler two is an indictment and embarrassment to all involved at the time. I am aware club voting is based differently to Brownlow's etc but Robbie was the consumate team player, clubman and superstar. Thankfully was humble and got on with it. I can remember Fowler being coy about the awards.
  10. Hopefully Turner plays up forward in the AFL very soon. Huge upside. His versatility is a bonus. Just needs a decent run with injury.🤞
  11. I'll politely disagree. I'd go as far to say he is a certainty to be in the 23 against the Tigers. Match winning second half.
  12. Might have gone a bit early on Sestan! Hunter fantastic second half. Given he'll likely play in a match sim next week must come in against the Tigers. Too good for this level. Laurie very good. Turner might need another one but an excellent first up game. Provides flexibility. Interest at selection table.
  13. Laurie showing plenty. Fullarton has promise for the near future. Verrall definitely in time. Turner not bad for a first up run. Tomlinson looks disinterested and confidence shot. Understandable on both counts. Grave doubts about Jefferson. Put a line through Sestan. Are they having a laugh by playing KFW?
  14. Not good but could have been worse.
  15. With Balta, Prestia, Lynch, Taranto, Ross, Graham and possibly Grimes, amongst others all out, given reasonable conditions not only will be get back on track but a 6-8 goal should be par. Whilst others may consider the last quarter 'junk time goals' I was very pleased with the effort, reducing what could have been a 70+ point walloping and conserving all important percentage. Really loved May's desperate lunge to touch the ball off Cameron's boot with seemingly little to gain. Kossie will be back and with confidence gained we will beat the Cats the following week also.
