Contracted Tomlinson Looks to Move On?
The only player Daniel Turner will be replacing in the backline is Jake Lever. He’s an intercept defender, skinny and not an amazing one on one player like May or Petty. Tomlinson is a good backup for one of those two, so if he goes we’d probably need a new back up in that department, Adams obviously not up to it yet either.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Duursma showing a fair bit after a quiet championships, sounds like he may have been injured previously anyway

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Highlights from his last championship game were amazing. Can hit the scoreboard as well. Do not think our club will be too fazed with the Tassie factor, always back ourselves in.

It’s Reid or Mckercher for me, may have to trade up but we have to try and get one of the ‘elite’. If not, Watson or Caddy

CASEY: Rd 16 vs Sandringham
Considering it’s a short turnaround to a Friday night game for the AFL maybe didn’t play the last?

Has he had a chance ?

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
At the start of the year I would’ve thought Nick Watson would’ve been out of the question for us, but considering the form of our small forwards this year maybe we have a crack at him if he falls into the pick 7 range like this ranking suggests? Neal Bullen, chandler, spargo all out of form, could be a good partnership with Kozzy down there.

No unfortunately

If we are after a forward again and can’t/don’t get Caddy, Michael Rudd from Geelong falcons looks like a gun!

Flirting with him directly or flirting with the idea of it ? 😂

PREGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS
BBB loves to carve it up on a training track where it’s easy mate. Kicks snags for fun during pre season and then crumbles at the top level. Gets talked up over the summer and then goes on to play VFL for half a season. He’ll probably come in based on his VFL game last week, which is the right thing to do, rather than what he does at training.

Doesn’t seem like a great draft for midfielders inside the first round

Five most improved players
Can someone please find out/tell me what has happened to the Kozzy midfield experiment. It’s all we heard about over the summer and he has not attended a centre bounce in months. Does he have a niggle? He needs to get his hands on the ball to get his belief and confidence back, why can’t he go through there just 2-3 times a quarter? Hasn’t been tried enough to be proven unworthy of.

Jackson has been massive for Freo the last couple of months, wouldve be a huge asset in our team this year. The thing that’s surprised me the most is his forward craft, he’s kicking goals and taking big marks lately, hopefully this is not an inditement on our forward system/development and just a young player getting better…

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Would love to grab Nate Caddy this year. Different to Jefferson and Roo (only 192cm) he’s kicking goals and getting big numbers in the midfield too. Unique player!

Gawn Main Ruck, Grundy Up Forward?
Gawn is a better forward than Grundy, pretty easy to see. Id like to see a full game of Gawn forward and Grundy in the ruck the whole time. Grundy has played his best footy for us when Gawn was injured and he rucked the whole game surprise surprise.

TRAINING: Saturday 17th June 2023
I’m fine with it considering we have 3x10 day breaks in a row where I’m sure players get at least 2-3 days off/10, but I don’t like the fact our interstate players only get 4 days home for a bye. Especially those from WA. Bit of trek. Would be nice for them to have more time with their families, the go home factor is tough enough already.

Yep I think it ends up being nearly three 10 day breaks in a row from the Carlton game
