Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
Cleary wasn’t by the clubs. Who are you following ?

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
Twomey had Murphy Reid rated at pick 6 in his November form guide last year when no one else did, he ended up going pick 17 and won the rising star. Even the clubs got that one wrong. I’d say his eye is pretty good

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
Freo will be happy with that

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
Pretty underwhelming group of players this year at our pick range

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
Yep Cal said that if Richmond want him he will be there later at pick 10 range which suggests he’ll get past us. Maybe we think we’ve already got that sort of player in Windsor, the dynamic speedy mid

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
Incorrect, Laurie was a first round pick, the first selection of the second round was Nathan O'driscoll

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
Could be his last draft with us, currently out of contract

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
Since 2020, we’ve used first round picks on Laurie Jefferson JVR and Tholstrup, not ideal, here’s hoping we nail these ones

Bailey Humphrey
Pretty obvious that the Humphrey trade hasn't been 'on' for a while, considering we were linked with taking 7 and 8 for Trac early last week. Funny how a lot on here are quick to pot the media for anything but are happy to believe what a random anonymous poster says on a fan forum? It's literally the media and journalist's job to get this stuff right, their reputation is on the line.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
@picket fence Your constant defence and praise of Oliver is pathetic, he doesn’t even know you exist, doesn’t give a [censored] about any of us, move on he’s just a footballer

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Why couldn’t we have just shipped him off to Geelong last year for a future first and 1,000,000 off the books 🤦♂️Now this …

As others have mentioned, this year and the Petracca situation is as good as an opportunity we’ll probably ever get to snare Humphrey, unfortunately we’ll be competing with every other VIC club to bring him home next year. Sam Mitchell will be in his ear every day for the next 12 months. I find it highly unlikely will be an attractive option for him when Bailey finally pulls the trigger. Was a nice try anyway

This was reported last week by Tom Morris

Farewell Christian Petracca
Kalani’s not going anywhere near pick 24
-
Farewell Christian Petracca
We’ll give them 24 and then a club will take Latrelle before our 28 🤦♂️

Exactly. Can’t believe people seriously believe Lamb just trades all these second and third rounder without consulting Taylor. It would be a joint strategy, and yet you see people on this site say ‘Lamb hasn’t given Jason Taylor a chance with second and third round picks’, it’s probably Jason’s idea ! 😂

The Lachy Dovaston Thread
Schubert? Sucks if we have to go to the draft again to find a key forward. Another 2-3 years of development before they impact AFL level. We spent two first rounders on key forwards in 21’ and 22’ and they should be ready to explode for us, but instead they look like busts, frustrating as we tried to fix this glaring Issue then and it hasn’t worked, because we didn’t get the selections right

2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Robey will be gone by then and Lindsay’s knock is that he ISN’T hard at it, doesn’t have a contested game

Tom Morris just said on trade radio that Damian Hardwick is sympathetic to Humphrey’s family issues he has going on, clubs are still coming for him this trade period

Think we'd better start familiarising ourselves with draftees around the pick 6-7 mark
