  1. Was the forward line of BB, Tmac, Dogga Fritch too tall??
  2. Its so F&%ken lazy to go down this path form anyone in the media. 44K is the 4th biggest crowd outside finals from a Dees v Dogs game in the AFL era. Sure next to Carl V Rich game its a poor crowd but you have got to compare apples with apples. 58K R1 2022 48 R1 2023 45K R7 2010 44 yesterday
  3. Just came in here to say the same thing and can add Tom Boyd and the Bulldogs to the list.
  4. The AFL did nothing of the sort. The AFL sent it to the tribunal when the MRO didnt want to. The AFL wasn't happy with the Turbinal result and have since changed the rules. Apart from appealing the decision the AFL did everything they could to get Maynard suspended. And when I say AFL I assume it was Laura Kane behind it all.
  5. Some of the best gynecologists are males?????
  6. Also know as clubs put 100 names on a whiteboard to discuss/monitor and Oliver is one of the 100. I noticed the Jay Z had a new show start last night and broke the "story" on the show. I suppose they needed something to talk about and get people to tune in next week.
  7. I feel its also a by product of how well we set up defensively behind the ball. If we dont score in the first I50 we can at times have multiply I50 one after another as we are set up so well the opp cant clear the ball. All these repeat I50 are going back into a crowded 50 with no where to lead and hence the only option is to kick long to a pack. Almost be better for us if we let the opp take the ball back past the centre so we can turn it over and attack with a bit more room??? Laurie to me hasn't picked up the pace of the game yet. He needs time to do this and then we can see if he's upto it or not. However he may just never pick it up or run out of time.
  8. Why doesn't Gawn stick up for himself. Needs to be more aware and see it happening before it does and give some back. He lets it happens and looks to be more interested in flopping for the free than he is to push back the other way.
  9. Conditions suited Grundy with the ball on the ground more than not. Gawn's strength is his arial contest, which with the ball like a cake of soap was, taken out of the game.
  10. Its a double win as if melbourne are looking for a inside mid depth/replacement come midseason draft time he would already be in the system and know many of the players.
  11. Carlton final last season. The 7 fwds on the left, tomorrow nights on the right. 2 upgrades in bold and Tmac/Schache cancel each other out. Looks finals worthy to me. and thats not adding in Petty and McAdam who play when fit. Smith - JVR Fritsch - Fritsch Kozzy - Kozzy Spargo - Billings TMac - Schache ANB - ANB Chandler - Chandler
  12. not much in the cupboard to choose from??? Mathieson Bianco Tyler Brown Kayne Turner
  13. We didn't have a train on player because we didn't have any list spots. Pretty simple. Juts because we didn't have a pick past round 1 doesn't mean we don't know what's out there. Maybe that's exactly why we didn't have a pick past round 1.
  14. We where keen also, I believe he verbally agreed to move but had a change of heart
  15. and who says we didnt try things and we found out they didn't work or we need more work on them. PRACTICE GAME for practicing things
  16. We know McVee can do that job, moving him onto Bolton would have shown us nothing. Now Goody knows Howes is a long way off it and Howes know what he needs to do to play on a player like Bolton. Who by the way is one of the hardest match up going. This is what practice games are for. Your assuming we tried to lock them down
  17. Brayshaw was replaced with Fine Cotton
  18. This sounds like a fantastic initiative by the club. Just like a the family day but with a practice match as an added bonus. Will be a fantastic day and turnout I'm sure. Some others are talking up the pies effort. 4.30 midweek on a work/school day is never a good time. Followed by a "Jumper Presentation" which was the players walking onto a balcony 15m above the fans which I heard only a handful stayed around for as it took a considerable time to start after as the players warmed down and showered after the game. A lot of family/kids where seen leaving disappointed after not being able to wait around any longer having to get kids home for dinner and ready for school the next day.
  19. So the pies are holding an Intra-Club Family day, exactly what Melbourne are doing. Haters going to hate.
  20. If anyone has earned a walk up start its Clarry.
  21. SCG is the ground many teams dont play a CHF
  22. SCG is the ground to go small. JVR/Fritch/McAdam(?) with Spargo, Billings, Chandler, ANB Lauire would be the way to go.
  23. Goody and the match committee took a big chance. Played our captain and probably our most important player with an injury. Even though we lost you could say the chance paid off as Max played the whole game and the insurance wasnt needed. I would have much preferred Schache sit on the bench the whole game and Max play then Max pull up saw at half time and we sub on Laurie ands have to play Tmac in the ruck
  24. Gawn went into the game injured with a broken toe. Itywasnt a break glass move it was an insurance move with not knowing if Gawn was going to be able to get through the game. Gawn played the game out, Schache didnt get on.
  25. Tmac was more than serviceable as a key back he just has a problem with depth of kicks which would result in his kicks either dropping short or more than likely going over the head of the leading player. This problem was some what eliminated when moved forward and he became pretty reliable kick for goal as it didnt matter how far over the goal umpires head the ball ended up going.
