Yes, it is a bit embarrassing! I like a laugh but find the banter often involves punching down and I'm not interested in that, especially as a fan. Some of the interviews are good, as there's camaraderie with less banter - and I find the AFLW Deebrief pod is more measured and analysis driven. Some of the emotion works, when it occurs in a poignant manner, such as when talking about Gus' retirement. But the ladsy stuff is not my cup of tea

I'm certainly loud both when attending in person or viewing from my couch in Sydney. In the first 10 mins of today's game, my sister called my mobile to tell me to shut the f@$k up as I barracked in front of the TV haha

That was one of the stand outs for me in Wheelo's stats for this game. 11 set shots for 1 goal, 4 behinds, 6 misses compared to their 9 set shots for 5 goals, 3 behinds, 1 miss (if I read the table correctly). Even 3 behinds rather than misses would have helped us at the end of this game, nevermind failure to convert to goal! The other stand out in the stats was our dominant third quarter performance (such as time in forward half, shots on goal, pressure, certain players performances)... nice to see that return ☺️

Interesting that the highlighted quote about The Deebrief focuses on emotions as a highlight. After a while this is what turned me off their podcast, the banter and emotiveness (think gameday thread). I now focus solely on the Demonland podcast because of how insightful it is (while still allowing space for some humour and fellow feeling).

Just like that time I visited Singapore and an ad played before the movies about how the World Happiness Rankings said Singaporeans were unhappy but actually... Singaporeans are so happy! 😉

You might love it (or hate it) up here, Layzie! I live on a laneway and everyone chats to each other. Something about the small walkable streets and all the cute dogs being walked leads to a small town friendliness, even though it's only 1.5 km from the CBD. As I type this I can hear my neighbours Kathleen and Ross talking under the frangipani tree! (It's nice except for when you get caught with a large load of shopping...)
