JVR Extends to 2025
For some reason I like a forward line of JVR, Schache or Petty, Fritter, Kossie and support cast with Max and Trac visiting on occasion.

Which Demon is the most likely to have a breakout year in 2023?
Schache pips Weid for Coleman glory.
-
Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache
Don’t know anything about Schache but 4 cm is 4cm, a number 2 pick is a number 2 pick, only 25 and a positive trade. I liked Weid but right behind Schache now. Any friend Of Clarrie is ok by me.

Farewell Sam Weideman
I have no logic or reason other than somehow I still think he can be a good player that makes me hope we hang onto Weid. I know he hasn’t stepped up, I also know we have stuffed him around selection wise at times, I further know he is likely better than who we would get for the pick we receive. Hang around Sam.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Two firsts and a second with nothing much back is about as good as we could possibly have got really. Now, if only Freo can tumble on down the ladder next year please

Farewell Luke Jackson
Getting a bit overall peed off with all this Dogga say he won’t let Dees get screwed over - how? Freo had months to work out how to make an equitable deal and are now playing games like holding Lobb deal over so they don’t include anything they get in a Jackson deal. WC are just a non starter side issue. Now media saying we should just accept unders which they don’t do for any other deal. How about instead of that they report “Freo should put up a fair deal for a former pick 3 with great credentials. They’ve had plenty of time to work it out”
- James Harmes off to Essendon?
- Trade and Free Agency rumours

Farewell Jayden Hunt
At this time of year I am keen to hear any inside information even if it is from Bill’s cousin Jamila who overheard it at the supermarket so please keep posting those in the know and even those not in the know but are acquainted with Jamila.

What's next for Adem Yze?
Two words not to go to Essendon - Kevin Sheedy

Farewell Sam Weideman
For those that value loyalty to club it is funny that a Weideman leads the pack at MFC.

Jordan De Goey
I may be wrong because I have been predicting Cat’s demise for years but I reckon Pies may drop way down next year. It’s not possible to keep having the luck in close matches they had this year which then led to an overachieving emotionally driven finish. Maybe deGoey sees greener pastures.

Hawks racism allegations (merged thread)
Also interesting that the ABC article which is related to but separate from the report states that they put detailed questions about the issues raised to Clarkson, Fagan and Burt but none replied.
-
Hawks racism allegations (merged thread)
Common theme emerging from contemporary players, coaches and admin is that nobody knew “nuffen”. I wonder going forward if we will be able to discern between commentary from real journalists to that of AFL journalists.

Hawks racism allegations (merged thread)
Definitely Cult like behaviour. Isolate from family and friends, listen only to the almighty leaders. For once can the AFL act with integrity instead of PR garbage.

FINALS 2022: Week 03
I have a newly discovered dislike of the Lions but I don’t think that can compete with decades of Pies and years of Cats loathing. For me an ideal GF now would be Swans Lions with Swans winning to take all the media love of Pies and Cats away. I appear to be bitter and twisted. Reality is there is only one Premier and all the rest lose. We did pretty damn well this year.

Or do the WA thing and find ‘em and hide ‘em.

Make a statement, save money - close the academy and pick up prospects from other club’s development.

Positives from 2022
Supporting a team that can always win even if they don’t always win.

POSTGAME: SF vs Brisbane
Well at least we were a chance in virtually all games this year - Unlike last year we kept getting run over in quarters and games. The apprentice is not the master. Selwyn < Darren.

POSTGAME: SF vs Brisbane
Looking forward to the boys coming back in ripping shape, training the house down in preseason and desperate to play for the fans in 2023.
-
TRAINING: Thursday 8th September 2022
Especially given he does have a tendency to drop in tackles.

TRAINING: Thursday 8th September 2022
At the risk of talking selections one would presume no JvR due to lack of crowding around him for congratulatory announcement. no unforced changes it seems from training run

CHANGES: SF vs Brisbane
Like I have said previously Salem never plays well in first couple of games after injury. Bowey has to at least be considered. ANB tries and tries but last night I found him very trying. He is too often indicative of our forward line - a rebound wall. Do not see TMac as a saviour and has no VFL game before next week. In the last ressies game Weid, JvR and M Brown much better. Think Harmes will be out so that saves Melksham. FD does not like change so one forced change will be it, probably Dunstan but would like to see Smith. Trac an unknown at this point. FD meeting will be like “we beat them a ftnight ago so who are we forced to change?”
