When was the last time we had an injury that wasn’t worse than first thought? Fitness and medical staff need a cleanout in my view.

He’s a favourite cos he leads at the ball and is rarely outmarked. Adds a fair bit to the forward line. On DE%, I think you can get away with less than perfect kicking if you’re trying to hit players moving into space like we did a fair bit today. If you’re trying to hit stationary players among a zone defence you need to be near perfect.

He’s been MIA this year but I think he was better today. 2 & 1/2 quarters through the replay and faark me Freo got a good deal from the umpires today!

Was hoping we scored 80, ended up >100 which is where we need to be. +46 points on our average this year. Kept them <100 which is the other half of what I wanted, especially good result without May & Lever and with Petty up forward. Maybe we’re not dead yet.

Expect a better effort this week, would be surprised if we get much from Fullarton but at least he’s tall. Turner I’m more optimistic about. Would like to see a score of 80+ to give some hope about the rest of the year. Freo still win for mine, they beat us consistently when we were good so I’d be shocked to beat them when we’re going like we are. If we can keep them <100 that would be good but May out makes that tough.

2021 ave points for 90, against 64 (+26) 2022 87-69 (+18) 2023 88-72 (+16) 2024 78-79 (-1) 2025 62-102 (-40) I thought after 2024 that he deserved a chance to turn it around, but it just has not worked. Defence is leaky now (Lever out doesn’t help but it’s worse than one player). Forward line is non-existent, barely a mark i50 at all. Mids are getting smashed. Whatever he’s tried to do this year has not worked - the preseason vids were all of run & carry and quick movement and that hasn’t shown up on field at all. Whole thing needs a reset and unfortunately for Goody that means he takes a long walk off a short pier.
