  1. Hope to see some decent movement in the forward line today with Fritsch back who knows where and when to lead. Won’t be seamless straight away but I feel a lot better getting him back for a game before the finals than if he was going straight into the QF off no footy. Highly doubt there’ll be any tanking today, either by us or Port. Not sure about the reasoning behind trying to avoid a certain opponent or venue in week one. “Oh we don’t want to play at AO or the Gabba?” Guess where we’re going if we lose the QF and make it to a prelim? Best to just play a normal game today and get set for winning the next month of footy
  2. gee these [censored] ask for a lot of frees (and get a fair few)
  3. I don’t think last years finish is all that relevant, we didn’t choke under pressure we were just crocked by the end. That said I don’t think we’ve got the fear factor yet due to the piecemeal forward line. We haven’t put a big score on anyone for a while except the tigers and they were 20pts up late in the game. I think teams will be worried about us, they’ll know we’re hard to score against but they’ll know they’ll be in the game as we haven’t buried anyone for a long while. We can change that against the swans, or if we have a big QF win then we can start to frighten teams.
  4. I think the Norf game was the time to rest players if we were going to, there was still 3 games left before the bye to get back into it. Resting anyone this week means 2 weeks off, then (pls pls pls) if we win a QF another week off so 1 game in 4 weeks before a prelim.
  5. Solid point, some on here are acting as if we’ve appointed him until 2033, a 2 year extension is more than reasonable
  6. You don’t think Dimma might’ve swapped a few texts or calls with some GC people before deciding to take his little overseas holiday?
  7. AFLx style round robin comp in the bye week, top wins and % gets to pick a finals spot or pick 1
  8. Nah he gets to copy+paste the same article until at least 2026, job security
  9. Exactly, the market works both ways. Doggies probably looking for a coach by mid next year, maybe WC, Freo if they are bottom 4-5 again, Cats if Scott gets the Hardwick rebuild burnout.. jobs out there for a premiership coach
  10. Unfortunately these shenanigans will help usher in the AFL’s next genius idea of the wildcard round đŸ€ź
  11. I’m burnt out, lost the passion, need some time away from the.. sorry how much?? Ok I’m back
  12. I’m sure they’ll do it again at different points too. Didn’t do it today so that would suggest by your metric they weren’t all that concerned. Coaches are getting 1.49 goals per game out of him overall, plus the forward pressure, tackle and chase. Probably would’ve liked a bit more out of him today but it’s a team game, as long as somebody’s kicking them we’re ok.
  13. Toby Greene 29yo height 5’11” 210 career games 319 career goals @1.52pg Charlie Cameron 29yo 5’10” 197 career games 348 career goals @1.78pg Kysaiah Pickett 22yo height 5’7” 81 career games 121 career goals @1.49pg almost as if you’re not comparing apples with apples. Koz plays a different role to those 2, is in a different weight division and his goals pg still stack up pretty well despite everyone wanting him dropped (lol) or traded (loooooool) every second week.
  14. Lol some big calls being made about our leading goal kicker, useless all year, missing in big games, now trade him? Laughable
  15. 0 touches for Oliver & Trac is bad vibes
  16. So so very sick of seeing Luke Breust
  17. Good the AFL is trialling this nonsense instead of working out a way for Casey to not have a bye every second week
  18. Jesus that was horrendous, 2 ducks, a push in the back that wasn’t there and the last was the worst of the lot..
  19. Do I wish we had the taxpayer funded home ground with the best home ground advantage in the comp and the pick of any player born west of Melbourne at free agency and trade time? Yeah would be nice. Stuff them, hope they spend a decade in the wilderness
  20. Geelong list manager: you’re on your own now Chris, I’ve done all I can Chris Scott: but when I look back as far as 2011, all I see is one set of footprints Geelong list manager: Yes Chris, that’s how long I’ve been [censored] carrying you
  21. Nvm, question answered
  22. I thought we were going in small, then I watch this game and the pies have got Murphy on Daniher and Maynard on Hipwood - good luck
  23. I think that’s what we wanted, but couldn’t get one in the trade period. What we could get was Grundy so the plan was hatched to play both and hopefully take a lot of i50 marks and kick a lot of goals. Sadly it hasn’t worked that way - in Fritta’s foot we trust
  24. In a forward line of JVR, Fritsch, Melksham and Smith the best 2 defenders are going to JVR and Fritsch. No one is going to be particularly worried about Smith with his 6 career goals unless he snags a couple early, then they might reconsider. He’s still playing on potential not proven performance. He plays this week but when Fritsch is back I wouldn’t be too worried if Smith was back to sub.
