We cannot draft again from WA
An NCAA type of competition in Australia? Not sure how feasible that would be

We cannot draft again from WA
What about our footprint in the NT? Is it really that strong as some suggest?

We cannot draft again from WA
This should only apply to the top 10 or top 5 picks IMO

Farewell Luke Jackson
The writing was on the wall once he 'only' signed for 1 year in 2020. I am confident that if the MFC rated him as the unicorn, surely they would have offered a longer contract extension?

Farewell Luke Jackson
I am 13,000 km away from my family, a decision that was tough but made it on my own. I love them and probably even more so than if I was living close to them, I have the best time every chance I get to visit them. People tend to take things for granted, but again that's my own personal experience.

Farewell Luke Jackson
In hindsight, and as ludicrous as it may sound, it now seems that we should have traded him in 2021 after the flag. To me it looks like with or without the 2021 flag, he was going back to WA. His values was the highest post GF 2021... 🤔

We cannot draft again from WA
Min 3 year rookie Contracts with club option for a 2 year extension. This should make this sort of players 'untouchable' for at least 5 years.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Then we should scrap the draft and just have an academy system like the EPL! Why bother?!

We cannot draft again from WA
Wasn't there another guy from GWS that is going to Geelong? I remember him.for.that picture so excited when he was drafted by GWS 🤣🤣🤣

Farewell Luke Jackson
My contention is, how invested was LJ this season knowing he was gone? Is that fair for us? I guess it wasn't as crazy an idea to bench him in the latter part of the season..

PODCAST: Season Review & Trade Wrap
I would like to discuss the brokenness of the draft system. Many top draft picks barely staying for 2-3 years with the teams that gave them a go. What would you do to make it fairer for struggling clubs? (Not that we are one of them, but we could be in the future) I am filthy about Jackson, especially with all the information that has transpired today.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Tampered competition if you ask me. With the very low power the clubs seem to have over the players, it is unfair that they are permitted all these sort of liberties midway season in which the team was pursuing back to back premierships.

We cannot draft again from WA
One thing is sure, the draft system sucks! Top Draft picks my [censored]!, they are not assets when you can't keep those players for at least 5 years in your team. I'd rather prefer there was a separate draft for each state.

Mitch Georgiades
Who would you say is really gettable, this year or next? E.g. Naughton is not
-
Mitch Georgiades
Is he better option than a McKay or B King though? Could Georgiadis be complementary to the above mentioned (if we can go for either next year)?

Draft and Trade Needs
I don't think we need that X factor small forward, we already got him. I am more of the idea of getting a KPF, Imagine a Forward line of: JVR, Fritsch, Kozzie and one of McKay/King/Insert name

Farewell Luke Jackson
Bit stiff on Lever, he had immediate impact in 2018 (only hampered by the injury). 2019 a [censored] year for the whole team. 2020 was decent 2021 All Australian 2022 Inconsistent For mine it's still a good deal for us so far. Just consider were Adelaide is at the moment...

Membership Tally 2022
Yep, I received such email today. I am paying extra 50 AUD for my renewal.

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Surely not all WA boys want/need home? As said before, please help him get a local gf.

Premiership dreams are made of KPF
He can become our second ruck so we don't pay absurd amounts of money for Grundy (high risk IMO)

Premiership dreams are made of KPF
Richmond got Tom Lynch after they lost in 2018. WCE had a great FWD line in 2018 I think structurally is not sustainable to have a subpar KPF, not if we want to win multiple flags.
