Sounds like there is bit of a ‘Twist’ to this story. It’s okay, I’ll leave now
  2. Could be worse …. Buthead!
  3. I sort of figure if we can’t finish 2nd at the end of the home and away (possible but bit of a long shot) I would much rather us finish 4th for very obvious reasons this year.
  4. And if we get a swag of our supporters turn up it will also help our boys. It’s pretty much the best (and only way) that we can tangibly help our team. We owe it to them. Simple as that.
  5. I think that the culture that Goody lives and breathes cannot be underestimated, it’s impact on the club and players…in my opinion, priceless
  6. There must be something very special about our culture. People keep hanging around Hope this keeps rubbing off onto our supporters…..make sure you rock up to the G this weekend
  7. I now hope that they set themselves to play their ‘mini grand final’ against Port next weekend and do well.

Makes me appreciate oh so much that we beat them a few weeks ago …GO DEES!

The Ferals are the team to beat, sad but true

Hate to say it, two very good sides, deserved premiership favourites….for the moment
  11. Agree, no such thing as an easy game for us for the rest of the season. Even North will be tricky, my understanding is that Clarkson resumes control when we play them. Hope we get a lot of supporters turning up this Sunday. Almost embarrassing at times the way Choco, Goody and even Petracca are almost begging for fans to turn up and make some noise In the meantime…….One game at a time.

When I start thinking about who I would rather play or not play against in the finals I (somewhat stupidly) begin to worry and stress big time. Can’t keep doing this for the next six weeks so… For self press preservation reasons I am trying to adopt the mantra ‘anyone, anywhere, anytime’. At our best (and luck with injuries) we can beat anyone. GO DEES.

But in the meantime I can at least dream that it may happen- GO DEES!!!

Grundy is one of us and I would like to think that he will finish his career with us. He will not only play a significant role this year but in future years. Like to think he will help us snag a few flags along the way. I could be proven wrong but I am very confident that I won’t be.
  15. To me it is just the tone of her voice, let alone what she says that soooo grates with me. (I presume she was one of the commentators on ABC- if not apologies to Underwood) I listen to the footy when I’m at the footy (put one ear piece only so I still get the atmosphere). My normal first choice station is by default the ABC, bit out of habit and because it tends to get the better reception at the G on my little radio. As a backup I have the other footy stations preprogrammed as other options. When I heard the voice, the tone snd the dribble coming out I auto pilot without thinking switch to another radio station.
  16. I know it had been asked before and had been answered somewhere but…… sorry to be a pain, where can one access training locations, dates / times on the web?

I was considering doing the ladder predictions on the AFL app, then looked how well I’ve been doing in picking winners in the footy tipping competition, then decided I shouldn’t bother…

On the assumption that we don’t finish in the top two…..If we play Collingwood first final it has its ups. We play at the G, gives us opportunity to get support at the ground and if we win, yee ha, we are in the box seat. If we lose and win the next game we unfortunately will most likely play an interstate prelim final. Not so good If we play Port first week, it’s an away game. Tough but can be done. Win, again we are in the box seat. Lose and we win the following week and our prelim final would most likely be the Pies at the G or less likely Brisbane away, yuck. On balance, I’d rather play the pies first week. Very pecuniary, at least I can go to the game. Normally I stress big time when I actually go to the footy but I’m getting that feeling now…. I better stop Ps. If my logic above is wrong, apologies, happy to be corrected.
  19. No matter how good the Bazball Pies think they are about doing coming from behind victories in the 4th quarter, we do it better (and against better sides). GO DEES!!!!
  20. I always dread it when I see umpires No 15 and No 22 walk onto the ground at the start of a game.
  21. Petracca after the game ‘Just want our supporters to turn up, we will do the rest’ Say no more… love it
  22. Mindset required by our players ‘we are the hunters’ Mindset required by our supporters ‘be very loud’ Not only a home ground advantage but a home crowd advantage - time to start cranking it up

I know it’s a bit like saying what do you prefer, diarrhoea or vomit but I’m torn between who I want to win out of Essendon and Geelong (that will help us). I’ll go for Essendon
  24. Goody’s press conference today - ‘We are now back at our home ground, in front of our supporters who make a difference for us, when they come out in numbers and support and get loud, which we expect Friday night, it’s a tough place to play’ We as supporters have got one job to do- turn up and turn up the volume- we must also make the home ground advantage become a home crowd advantage. GO DEES

About now I reckon- GO DEES!!!!
