  1. What is interesting (read disappointing) is that when you look at the seating map that the AFL members reserve has actually expanded towards the Punt Rd goals. What I mean by this is where my reserved seat was for the home and away season (bay 15) is now allocated to the AFL. Disappointing for two reasons. More seats allocated to AFL members (presuming dominated by ferals) and less seats left for the general public to access. Everyone is equal, but the some that are less equal than others gradually seem over a period of time to become even less equal. Little by little.
  2. What about N55?
  3. How is this for irony. I cancelled a dental appointment this morning to fix a broken tooth so that I could get a ticket
  4. At least you have hair…. I only have a white beard
  5. All I know is this. Yesterday’s game against Sydney seems like it was ages ago. I also know that there is 10 more sleeps between now and next Thursday. That seems like such a long way away. It’s going to be torture counting down the days.
  6. You are not alone, me neither
  7. You know what I like most about our 2023 year? The way that pretty much most of our players, all that we do and have done thus far seems to have gone under most commentators and opposition spectators radars….. all year long. I love it. The Sydney game in such a hostile environment was absolutely fantastic. We are serious contenders. Can’t wait for September.
  8. Hope so :)
  9. Argh, the good old Hun, finger on the pulse as usual.
  10. I posted this in another thread. I think it sits better here. It appears Melksham is done for the rest of the season but was instrumental in getting us to stay in the top 4 and the team now be considered a serious contender. If (when) we win the big one 23 players will receive a premiership medal, Melks won’t. I reckon the 23 players deserve and should get ‘player’ medals but I feel anyone who was named in the playing 23 throughout the season should also be given a separate ‘premiership team’ medal. (Could be given at the B&F night later on). Rationale being that it is a team game and they contributed throughout the season. This way people like Melksham would get due recognition for how they contributed throughout the year. (Similar for Jones back in 2022). This should be instigated and ‘minted’ by the AFL. Lastly, if this already occurs…. sorry.

  12. Is it limited to one ticket per membership?
  13. A message that the vast majority of Collingwood supporters simply don’t get… you may win some but you will lose more
  14. Rumour is that magpie hunting season is about to begin, very, very soon. Be afraid, very afraid, the Demons are coming. GO DEES!!!!!
  15. Watching the Port Richmond game. Considering turning the commentary down. Brereton is just so full of himself.
  16. ….but preferably at the G GO DEES
  17. Wodja replied to sue's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think I recall last year we could purchase a number of tickets per membership for the first finals games (Sydney, Brisbane). I’m guessing that this time against Collingwood perhaps we can only get one ticket per member? (Logic being that there are more members than seats at the G). Does anyone know?
  18. Hope Port get the job done convincingly tomorrow. We want week one at the G, our home ground against the Pies. Don’t want to travel. That way we can treat our last game like a pre finals season hit out. Try a few things but not give much away. Win lose or draw, it won’t matter. The real season starts in a fortnight. I’d like to think that we are serious contenders. GO DEES!!!
  19. Go GWS. Why? Because I haaaate Carlton, that’s why
  20. Game on- Good hit out for us and then a fortnight break before we most likely play Collingwood- GO DEES!!!
  21. Pretty much with double chance, anyone, anywhere, anytime but having said that I would not want to see us having to play in Brisbane All finals games at the G thanks would be my obvious preference.
  22. Wish it was so cut and dried. If we win and either Brisbane or Port lose we will end up third at the very least ( we currently have one less win but a higher percentage) Fingers crossed that all three teams above us win next week
  23. GO GOLD COAST- please smash Carlscum today!!
  24. Is it politically okay to start chanting Colliwobble, Colliwobble ….. even though we are still in August?
  25. Agree, but still hope we end up 4th or dare I dream 2nd (not going to happen) Other silver lining with your scenario of not making the four is that it will give Fritch one extra game to blow off a few cobwebs. My preferred scenario is that we play Collingwood first up and beat them
