He was so bad this year he had to drop himself to the VFL. Only fired against WC which means nothing.
-
McAdam, Fullarton and retaining Petty. JVR, Kossie and Chandler are young players who will improve. Petty and Fritsch missed significant parts of the season. Plenty of scope for optimism there. Which forward on the move have we missed out on. Schultz, Gresham, Chol, Burgess? Be still my giddy heart.

OK, I'll trade you 6, 11 and MFC F1st for 4 and Hawthorn's F1st. Bookmark it.
-
He said that JT thinks there's a big difference between 14 and 11 and we are confident we can get a very good player at 11 if that's the way it falls. That's pretty good information.
-
Thanks Chaser. Hawthorn's 4 + F1st is closest to the pin currently and hard to beat. The F1st will be a top 10 pick, Hawthorn won't play finals next year. WC could even on trade it for more early picks this year. Our 6 + 11 + F1st doesn't top it and neither does 2 or 3 plus 17 from North IMO.
-
Do you have a link to evidence that is the Hawthorn offer? They said they were in the market with pick 3 (as it was then before the McKay compo) and commentators said they'd need to add their F1st too, but I can't find any evidence where they actually offered pick 3 + F1st.
-
And they didn't even finish last in 2022 like he claimed, they finished 3rd last - 16th. They got to play us at home in Perth on a hot day too. Unbelievable wringing!
-
Fremantle, Adelaide, Geelong, Essendon and Hawthorn are all proving difficult to trade with.
-
Who are they going to pay with the money? https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/tp-west-coast-eagles Naitanui, Shuey and Hurn all just retired along with a heap of delists: https://www.afl.com.au/trade/list-changes The main salary cap issue WC will have in 2024 is paying the AFL minimum.

FMD, that was plan A when we recruited Grundy and it didn't work and that's why he's now at Sydney.
-
Your girlfriend said the same thing
-
He sprayed it a bit in that GF but he's one touch at full fast pace and has a good side step. He'll do damage.
-
Channeling Francls Urquhart now ..
-
no-one knows what it means but it's provocative ...
-
Will Beyonce be with him?
-
You're directly implying it.
-
Are you actually saying that you have first hand knowledge that Brodie Grundy spat the dummy and refused to play finals? It's a pretty big accusation.
-
If he's going it will be a trade at the end of next year. We have time to get contingency in place and there's no way we'll let him run into his FA year and rely on compensation in return. Even 1st round compensation will be late 1st round. The Crows will have to pay far more than that. The Lever trade is the benchmark.
-
The price won't be right to trade Petty.
-
Schache was back up for tall injuries in all parts of the ground. He could go forward and Joel Smith could go back, he could go back, he could cover for Max in the ruck. Grundy could only cover Max, yes better than Schache, but that's all he could do.
-
I added information to my post above. Post the bye Grundy played in 4 games and we went 1-3 in those games. Overall the team went 7-3. We went 6-0 without Grundy ... Schache is more flexible than Grundy, he can play forward, back or ruck - that's why he made a better sub than Grundy. Simply saying we didn't pick Grundy because we thought the team had a better chance of winning is the simplest explanation based on the facts.
-
Because the FD thought the 23 they selected had the best chance of winning? Post the bye Grundy played in 4 games and we went 1-3 in those games. Overall the team went 7-3. We went 6-0 without Grundy ...

We won't trade Petty. Hold him to his contract and start negotiations on a great extension next year. If it doesn't work out then we've got a year to make alternative plans. He has 2 years to run so if he wants to go to the Crows at the end of next year they still have to pay up big for a contracted player.
