In track suit on bench. Casey down to 2 on bench. Kicked 2 goals with wind so far, still 16 down.

Zebs 7 goals to 1 with the wind. Well on top. Gus started the qtr loose back, went on ball and got his hands on it in tight under great pressure. Dion showing something on ball. Has aggression. Dec playing well back in the air and on the deck. Developing. Billy a smart player trying hard to run the ball into the wind in a very contested game.

Casey failing to use gale force northerly.

Joel Smith flew as high as his dad. Bad landing, serious leg injury, off on stretcher

If we land Lever then Frost becomes a very valuable trade option. I can't see Lever, OMac, Frost and Hibberd all in the same backline and we have TMac forward who could go back in case of injury. With Weid and Keilty coming through we developing tall options. 2017 1st + ANB would be a great result.

Near Kew or far Kew?

Would not be surprised in Viney is given a week to get better. And I think Hannan is a likely out.

It hasn't always been that way, it takes some practice and discipline, but it's worth it. Last time I was [censored] off was EF loss to Essendon in 2005.

I don't let the outcome of football matches negatively affect my mood.

So much hyperbole - you must have a very short memory if that's the worst loss. It was entirely predictable (and yes I tipped and bet against us). North have a great record in Hobart, were at full strength, played an older more experienced team, we were missing Jones and Vince, and then Hogan going off hurt us more than Waite going off. The last quarter was disappointing when we were in a winning position, but we did well to put ourselves in that position. I think we're a very good chance to win this week against GWS.

I think I'll go to Sandy v Casey and watch the replay.

It's fair to say that this group has history against North now. I expect we'll be fixed to play them once in Hobart in 2018.
-
We'll win 3 of the next 4 and make finals.

Yes I don't get it on the phone either. I got it on tablet (and desktop). Tablet explains my rubbish paste job.

I think Ziebell, Tarrant and Preuss are very big ins for North who played well last week. In Tassie, us without Jones and Vince, them with belief they always beat us. I tipped North. It will be a great win if we can manage it.

Thanks Jacqui, great idea

http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2017-07-26/vfl-player-review-round-14 I thought this was an interesting comment from Plapp: "In really trying conditions for footy, we had a really clear way about how we wanted to play against Essendon. They play a completely different style to the way we do and we felt that if we were able to put those things in place, then we'd go a fair way to winning the game - or at least being really competitive. Our players were really diligent and absolutely fantastic around the way they executed those plans. Overall, it was a tough night of footy, it wasn't pretty, but it was very effective in the way we were able to grind out the win - after a couple of below par performances in the past few weeks. It was good to get back on the winners' list and play the type of footy we know works. We didn't have any passengers - we had 22 contributors and full credit goes to our players. The win keeps us on track." I wonder if that difference in style extends to seniors? I expect it does and it will be interesting if we play the Bombers in the finals.

Interesting that we've only ever played Richmond twice in finals, both in 1940, a long time ago, SF loss and GF win. AFAIK we've never played Brisbane (Fitzroy twice), GC, GWS or Port in finals. Our most recent opponent was Freo in 2006. Other than Richmond, AFAIK our "longest since" is Sydney in 1987.
