Jeez Tom Hawkins is looking very old and slow today. It's about time.

You know what this means don't you, for the media... Carlton will join Collingwood, Port and maybe Brisbane as the only real premiership contenders. Geelong might sneak into some people's calculations. Meanwhile…the Jaws theme begins as another contender lurks beneath the waves.

    Jeremy Howe…yup he's a forward.

Great effort Howe. You cannot fault the Pies - the game is never done when they're playing. Dees won from 25 down with 7 minutes left. This is very doable given the sides playing.

Team defence Jaded. Plus it would be Petty anyway.

Let's see you peg this one back pies.

I asked whether it matters, and what you would like to do to correct it, offering the option to relieve someone of their duties to ensure the mistake isn't repeated. Hope that clarifies things.

I would hate to lose a dollar betting. It's a poisonous habit.

Folks who bet a million dollars don't care if they lose the money like you or I would. It's probably like you losing a grand.

Hard to win them back to back Jaded. Oh wait...
  13. Chook replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Teams are starting to not care about trying to stop Collingwood chaining up through the midfield because as long as they've got the inside 50 kick pressured or can make a contest inside 50 it doesn't matter.

So what? Do you want to fire someone?
  15. Chook replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Won't matter. This will be a smashing if Collingwood can't start winning some contested ball.

    Umpiring spot on I reckon.

Carlton smashing Collingwood in key contests, turning the ball over and making them pay on the rebound due to Collingwood being super-aggressive - very similar to the KB game.

Umps are paying heaps of frees, but I reckon they're all there so far.

    The old Adam Tomlinson special.

Carlton's entries are low, deep and to a contest, and it's making it very hard for Collingwood to cope with. Collingwood are stemming the potential damage though so far. The Blues are winning the contests though, and that's the key to winning.

I have no idea why anyone thinks Collingwood are "far and away" the best side in the competition.
  22. Sorry for the repost, but still it deserves to be said twice.
  23. There's actually not.
  24. I'm still a little flat about losing to Adelaide in 2021, but one watch of bang bang bang and I'll live.
  25. What fantastic preparation for finals. Adelaide plays a very similar game to Collingwood, and to hold off their charge and come away with the win is so much better preparation than a smacking or a loss. You have to believe we'll be playing Collingwood one or two more times this year and if all goes as expected we'll be likely to be in the exact same spot defending a slim margin in the final minutes then too.
