  1. Possibly the greatest isolated fraction of non-goal-related pure football brilliance I've ever seen.
  2. Just putting it out there, but Brayshaw must have some currency now after the season he's playing.
  3. Never saw that one before. A year before my time (footy started in 2000 for me). But it's very weird watching footy of years gone by. Most of the time the biggest change isn't in the skills of the players but in the "interpretations" of the rules. Would've been deliberate out of bounds in Farmer's favour in c.2021, but in 1999? Fair play!
  4. I think the only answer to "why do you keep bleeding" is "because you keep killing it."
  5. Who gives a rats about scores from kick ins. It's just like scores from turnovers, in that they should never score and we should never turn it over.
  6. Being younger than some of you lot, I don't have the terrible associations with the royal blue. Don't get me wrong, it's navy all the way if you'd ask me to pick, but I love that we have a great clash alternative that is both historically meaningful and looks fricken awesome. Can't hurt that I love disco vibes as well.
  7. I didn't know Ed Langdon could talk. I've never seen him in an interview before. He continues to impress.
  8. By the way, anyone worried about our president resigning any more?
  9. I have never been 100% convinced that Oliver has the team-first mentality to take us to a premiership. My mind has changed. To go all-in and sign so early in a season when we promise something but haven't delivered yet shows he not only wants us to get there but is willing to bet his career on it. Lovely.
  10. McDonald not even an emergency?
  11. In addition to his amazing disposal, Salem won two important one-on-one marking contests basically back to back against Cam Guthrie who I really rate, and did it with ease. A fantastic player.
  12. The swelling and reaction from May were both absolutely awful. I would not be surprised if the 2-4 months turns out to be true.
  13. Out: May, Melksham, Jetta In….: Petty, Brown, Hibberd
  14. This is the best Melbourne team I've seen since the mid-2000s. I was too young to properly evaluate our 2000 team, but the jury's out on that as well.
  15. That's what it reminded me of. Absolutely nailed it.
  16. Sucks to lose May, probably for a fair while. I think we can still go OK though based on today's performance.
  17. 6. Lever 5. Petracca 4. Viney 3. Gawn 2. Langdon 1. Salem EDIT: Forgot Viney, who was just huge.
  18. To think that when he watched the granny in '64 from his throne, that would be the last time he'd ever witness his beloved demons win a premiership.
  19. I believe the idea is that making no changes makes the side better.
  20. I just switch over to my pinned Kayo tab and press the refresh button. After that I just worry if I've got enough beer in the fridge. Seems easier.
  21. I was excited to hear Eddie Betts' bold plan. You can imagine my disappointment…
  22. I'd love to see the Bombers somehow knock off the Swans + Buddy, just for the laughs. The Sydney circle-jerky has been wild, and plus only Melbourne should be undefeated. This will get us closer to that.
  23. "That's calculus, big boy!"
  24. That was actually Nick Dal Santo in the boundary rider role. Montagna was calling the play, and did a serviceable job of it.
  25. The bloke is nigh on unintelligible. I always give him a couple of sentences to see if he'll somehow make sense, but find myself hitting the mute button shortly thereafter.
