I want to win vs Geelong and play in Adelaide the next week regardless, but it would not be the worst thing should we lose. We then play a real game of football against a real away crowd in the qualifying final. Win that, stay in Adelaide for a couple of weeks to knock over the dregs, then waltz over to Perth for the big one (or, hell, play on Adelaide Oval again with a fair amount of experience there this year if Perth closes up).

One thing I really hope with Jackson is we keep him trim. I think he could very easily turn into a Naitanui type physically, becoming just a burst athlete in the process. Jackson’s strength is that he’s so agile and always in the play. He has to keep that for as long as he can in his career.

Ah yes, I dimly recall us smashing flag favourites Fremantle and taking the mantle of "best team in the comp" on the day. But honestly, the first time I thought "Hey we might have something here" was reeling in that gap the Saints created in round 2. Definitely gonna rewatch that game in Grand Final week (should we make it) because I think that was when we truly arrived.
