Is it posing a rhetorical question?
-
Mark Robinson changed his mind. Hazaah! Couldn't care less, couldn't give a ....
-
You're off then. Scully is a generational player. If we keep him he will be the highest paid player - deal with it. If he stays for half of what GWS is apparently offering he will still get $500k and more than any other player.
-
Good luck doing a press with two those in the forward line...
-
You were talking about Green having some 'right' to go for whatever marks he wants, whether or not there is someone running back with the flight. He does not have this right - no-one has this right. And that other part of your sentence is relevant because it is unfair for me to say I have more knowledge about footy because I play it. I don't. I have more footy knowledge because the game and I are kindred spirits. We are one. It's about as wanky as your "if you played the game" nonsense...
-
Gawn has been solid and great for 19 year old beanpole. See you in a few years though... Jamar and Martin will be hard to break up.
-
I play the game, but that isn't a good enough reason in and of itself to win this argument. If a teammate is running back with the flight you protect him. You are the one that can see the ball and those around, the player running back cannot. And don't ever say "if you played at all" or "if you played the game" because it makes you look like you don't have an argument and you just want to browbeat someone into agreeing to your position.

I didn't know this was news?! This is a high stakes game and the millions at stake rely on what they do now - they are throwing the sh!te every which way, the 800 odd footy journos are picking it up, polishing it and serving it to us, and we are eating it up. Gubby Allan would go to the trouble of burning friends like Sheahan to get what he wants - he has done it before. Ablett didn't this many rumours runnning around. There is an architect and you know what? I hate architects.

Miller against his old team. Riewoldt a danger. Jurrah a danger? Jamar a FF? Nahas an annoying midget? Discuss.
-
For those haven't seen the forest through the Scully trees - there is a big game this weekend in what will be just the second big, important, relevant, whatever, game under Bailey. The first was Rd 20 against Hawthorn. We can discuss this or we can talk about which Scully rumour to believe, and tear strips of off him in this hypothetical scenario. I don't care. I can do chew gum and walk at the same time...

Green and Davey have been awful. Moloney and Rivers have been great and poor. Grimes injured. Jones has been the only consistent performer and leader. Green, Davey, and River s have awful body laguage when things aren't going their way. The LG has been a failure so far this season - a big, fat F. If they want to begin to be taken seriously then they have to have a good, positive game on Saturday in the return of relevant games for this club. Otherwise it's the under 23s picking from themselves or the coach (whoever that may be) choosing the captain and his leuitenants.
-
That's not right. Green light or not, when your teammate is running back with the flight - you protect him. Green has to continue his form and work on his body language when things aren't going his way. Well done, but miles to go before we sleep...or his captaincy gets renewed next year.

I want to reiterate this point. We are supporters of this club, and our club is trying to keep a player. We are not helping by being the fuel in this rumour spreading - surely there has been so many contradictory and altered rumours that they all get less believable? The old axiom of "where thers is smoke there is fire" is quite right - but how many different fires can there be if there is only one spark? We should be asking ourselves where these erroneous rumours come from (if you believe he is gone, fine, but there is only one 'true' rumour)? They are coming from the west, and they are trying to enact a self-fulfiling prophecy - make enough people think Tom is gone, and they will make life so difficult that he will decide to leave. Gubby Allan is a brilliant bastard - don't let him do this to our club.
-
The return of relevant games began with Hawthorn last year. We get our second one under Bailey this week. And the next week. Looking forward to it.

The elephant isn't in the room yet, he is outside and you are scared of his shadow. I will deal with him when he enters the room.
-
Really, I think that the dreaming is being done by those "who just know" he's gone. Som eon here "just knew" that Judd was coming...
-
I dunno, he seems pretty angry with you... Worried about the views you extrapolate from not a lot of info... We can be paranoid, hand-wringing pricks when he leaves. Until then...
-
All players play injured to some extent. He hurt his knee earlier in the year and is trying to work through it. He has got to learn to work through it at some point so he should be kept in the side. And as you say, he is part of a decently functioning forward line (well, every second week...).
-
I know what you mean - Howe looks like a footballer. But Bate had a a very good start to his career. There is a lot of work ahead of Jeremy to avoid a similar fate.
-
How is that dealing with it at the end of the year? And if he said "I want to be a Demon next year" what then? More questions, and possibly a promise he can't keep in the unlikely event of a poor offer from us or a sudden desire to not play for a club where the supporters boo him. The questions will be "why don't you sign now then?", "why don't you sign a HoA?", etc. Never ends.
-
Honestly, who the frack would know? Let's get off the 'effort rollercoaster' we are on and see where we are left. I have no idea whether we are better than the Tigers and the Dogs. But I would like our effort to plateau at a reasonably high level and see where that leaves us at the bye.
-
That's hyperbole. Bate had a very good start to his career. He hasn't kicked on, but don't rewrite history.
-
If Jamar comes in then Dunn can't play in that forward line. Green Jamar Jurrah Watts Howe Sylvia I think we have moved on from Dunn.
