Kozzy Pickett Re-Signs for 4 Years

Well done to the Dees and Kozzie. His pace and skills are a class above the rest and he is so clever with the pill. He can be one of the most damaging players with his ability to start and finish off bursts from the defensive side of centre. -

Yeah, same. Pace, neat skills, seems to have smarts, he should back himself to do any role outside the key positions. -
Death Riding Fremantle 2023 - Feathered Cap Edition
rpfc replied to adonski's topic in Melbourne Demons
I am taking the weekend off the death ride. Hawthorn are tanking quite well right now - a couple of honourable losses ensure Smitchell can continue the tank away from prying eyes half a world away. Dont you play them into form Hawthorn! We love their stilted ball movement and unimaginative play! IT IS INSPIRING -
What do you think he’s getting at? Bluey doesn’t do subtlety of thought
-
My opinion is this is a different thread
-
An added wrinkle to using multiple high picks to get ND1 is that how many young players do we have biding time in the VFL that are waiting for a young side to age/retire/lose form/be traded and we are going to bring more into that logjam? It’s a good problem to have no doubt but if you can pool an investment of your 24-26th best players to get a top 15 player for your team, you’d do it. Especially with our window wide open while Gawn, May, Grundy, and Viney still around.

Could have fooled Carlton last year.

They are tanking. They will make sure they don’t win that game. -
Does Kade make the grade, or will it be Chandlermonium

Still bemused how he didn’t play more last year. -

Sorry to hear about your eye. Depth perception is overrated

Great content but you can only do this with a team like this and with players like Gus. ie. kids don’t hang around for losers. This is, Jaded says, how you become a stronger club with a future.

Ummmmmm -
He does too much work to release CP5 and CO13 that it would be self defeating. Jordon/Sparrow/Harmes/Rivers perhaps.
-
I hope he has a lovely brunch with friends in Hardware Lane on the morning of the game Check. Mate.
-
I hope he kicks 3 goals

Hard to argue the negative. At least there is some ‘selection integrity’… Funny how that integrity never keeps your stats out of the team tho. I dunno, I thought BBB was fine but maybe the KPIs are the real truth?
-
I smell some late outs. Just something in the air.
-
I resemble that remark!
-
I am not arguing the opposite of that either… I feel like the German management that were talking to Homer after they bought the Nuclear Power Plant. I am just saying that we identify the talent we want and if we have to mortgage next year - we will do it. If we have to bundle picks to get up the order - we will do it. If we have to pay overs to get the first pick to get this kid - we may well just do that too. We will do this, that, and the other thing!
-
Mate, you missed my point; some posters are alluding to pick 3 being just as good as pick 1 but Lamb and Taylor don’t seem to think like that - they go up the draft to get a specific player ie. Oliver and Pickett.
-
I don’t think Lamb and Taylor are trying to get ‘ND1’ - they are trying to get this specific kid. Just like what they did to get up the order and get Oliver and Pickett.
-
I think it’s Brown and he just has to be managed to get there at the right time of the year.

We were not in the position we are now
