  1. I think that laughter is very meaningful. I gave you the chance to show some self reflection and you obsfucated. I lol'd at you simply living out your life script. The end. Cue dismissive and snide remark...and close. Good job people. That's a wrap.
  2. People have been treated by this club to so many poor decisions and instances of bad culture that they wouldn't know what a good culture looks like, and the way a good club carries itself. Here's a baby step: Don't confuse being heartless for being ruthless.
  3. Your allusions betray your delusions. Clark came to this club and looked worth every cent of his wage and more than the Pick 12 we gave up. His lisfranc dislocating was a freak occurrence that happened because God Hates Melbourne. Roos knows how to build a club and a culture and it, in no way, involves being as heartless as you seem to want this club to be. We are his employers and he has had a rough trot with injuries, if he is suffering from a rough personal life then more power to the club for trying to help him through his issues. How having a desire for a cohesive and inclusive club culture can descend to 'accepting mediocrity' is an argument of the lazy and snide.
  4. Shrinking violet? lol I wonder if Toumpas will play this week. He might be a chance...
  5. What does this mean, though? He hasn't done anything wrong, has he? We gave him the contract. Bad luck has given him the initial injury. His personal issues are coming at a time when he was injured anyway. What are his ills that he 'doesn't get out of jail' for?
  6. Well, one opinion comes to mind... lol Bring on the footy.
  7. Yes, although you have been happy to 'call' the opinions of others in this very thread.
  8. Although, you were the one that put forward the notion from one of your recruiter buddies Nathan Buckley that players can't be properly compared until the end of their careers.
  9. We are there. You can't feel it under your feet?
  10. For the lifetime subscribers - try to give a few bob more every year.
  11. We require a KPF, not just someone who is tall. He has his new role, we have depth players at KPF - namely Fitzpatrick and Pedersen.
  12. Stuie - the mods merged the threads formally but they were already filled with the same stuff. Whether one sees it as realism and strategic or cold and snide. Your positive message would be lost on here anyway; players should not read this site.
  13. He's been pretty quiet lately don't you think? There hasn't been too many opportunities for people to scream 'less talk, more action' has there? Unless trying to get Roos was spin...
  14. I think we have to calm down and look at what is in front of us: the season hasn't begun yet, so all that needs to be sorted is Clark on the LTI (if required) and his own personal issues and his rehab. There is only speculation on anything else at this point. They will be answered when decisions are being made towards August/Sept. There is nothing to be done on this for months.
  15. I don't think it does clear that money from the cap at all.I am going off the old CBA here as they haven't publicly released the one from 2012-2016. Injury payments are included in the cap, how this one would be classified may be a matter of which year it is put into. I don't think it is unreasonable to discuss what you are discussing, I am just trying to give you more context and possible downsides to what you and a couple of others have suggested. My suggestion that we were in charge of his less than optimal rehab is reality. It hasn't gone well, each time he has come back - it has been a failed launch. We should look somewhat internally at that - it happens in footy, or any sport, but how we have brought him back has not filled me with confidence in our processes.
  16. What a confused post this is. Can it be both? Or is it personal or footy related? Perhaps we owe something to him because, while we have paid him handsomely, perhaps the way he has been handled has been less than optimal? Maybe we have contributed negatively to the freak accident he had while wearing the jumper we love. And for all those worried about money, as if it is an important thing in all this - the CBA stipulates that injured players be paid 150% of their remaining contract if they have to retire early due to injury. So that's $1.2 million for all those that want to 'save money.'
  17. There are no easy games anymore. Well, I guess we will be the test of that...
  18. Please no-one link to this site and tweet Clark... Just terrible - the whole thing. We all want a better club culture - well here is the first test of that. Remember there is an individual in the middle of your point scoring.
  19. I would say Kennedy-Harris, Viney, Nicholson, and Strauss would be the only ones with a chance from that group.
  20. I don't think that is the case - I think his soft tissues are reacting poorly to him running again. The mention of him doing his calf above, prior to that it was his hamstring. His body will settle - it's just a matter of how quickly.
  21. Good read. It says a great deal about the person that Bails was.
  22. Poor bloke. He's the individual at the heart of this. We can have a whinge about our collective luck, our salary priorities, and a draft pick but he chose to come here and played so recklessly and for the cause of the club that he endangered his life a few weeks before he endangered his career. I know a Roos led MFC will do what's best for him and the club.
  23. It's fair to say he made an excellent career decision. He will play plenty of footy this year. I look forward to seeing what he can do.
