  1. Frost is very raw as a forward. He is very handy in the contests - in that he is athletic and tough at the man and ball - but there is no polish there yet. But his real issue is as a forward he is unsure of himself and when he leads he doesn't commit often enough, when he does commit he stops if he thinks the bloke with the footy won't kick it - you just have to lead like you are the best option, and he is fully unaware that when Dawes and Hogan are around - I am there to get in 'other peoples' way - not theirs. I don't know whether he is a change but as a tall forward he struggles. The midfield in the 3rd quarter was the reason for the embarrassment - but I don't know if there is many to make way for the Crows. If Tyson and Jones have downers - it is a very big point of failure for this club - and we knew that going into this season.
  2. And if you have no strengths? Or your strengths 'don't even lift'?
  3. Well, I had the 'extreme advantage' of seeing that up close and very personal... Just when you think the club couldn't eff with your emotions anymore - in walks the biggest sucker punch I can recall. The midfield was bulldozed for 45 minutes and that was that. So humiliating to sit there amongst other Dees and watch it - some turned on Watts, although not as many as I thought there would be, most left their snide remarks for Dawes, and I can see why, but really, and I am sure you noticed this on the TV, the midfield was absolutely annihilated for a quarter and that was the match. I noticed a couple of things being at the ground; GWS' press was effective but there was no movement from our mids, and our forwards had been instructed to not lead and hold space on the boundary and for the kicks to go there - it worked for a time but then they pushed players over, created contests and beat us. The rest I think you would have worked out for yourself.
  4. Some very rusty footy. Carlton look good when the other team treats them with no respect - so they are in it at the minute...
  5. Yep. $60 (if you are already a member) http://membership.melbournefc.com.au/packages/view/202/Digital-Armchair-Membership
  6. Watching it on the AFL Live app... I bought a Demons Digital membership but it seems to work all the time - get on it!
  7. Ok, thanks for posting the picture. Our browsers are smashing everything down to fit the screen and it isn't precise so it is falling off the edge, and you are not seeing all of it. Like the young girl with the strange expression isn't seen on normal sized screens and all you see is the blur to the right. Like most would say - it really is not a massive issue...
  8. It's always those dang Tigers hey? Stole Scully and now Indians...
  9. It's from the TV commercial that is running at the moment. The blurry one on the left is a tad interesting? They could do without it - didn't notice until you pointed it out though...
  10. Useless? It would be best if he started to one grab his marks - which he is capable of doing - but to say that a big forward is useless if he doesn't grab them is a bit of hyperbole - Garlett and Kent shouldn't mind if all he does is provide a target and bring it to ground...
  11. As some others have suggested - I don't know how they come up with that. Half his touches were efficient from what I can see, but the Champion Data people judged them inefficient for some reason. Not a huge fan of that stat.
  12. It's a good story but Ainslie played UWS early last year when Frost was in the seniors... The coach of Ainslie directly called up George Stone to make sure they took a close look but I reckon it is just a boring story of Taylor, Viney and co. doing their jobs well as to why he is at the club.
  13. Doesn't ball watch does he? For the excellent Newton goal (hasn't he started well too?) Vanders saw the bloke get in the motion of a kick and 'bee lined' over and took advantage of a dumb footy play by the GC defender.
  14. Seems an age ago this thread - but we discuss it every year. Hopefully, Watts settles it positively in 2015.
  15. Er, what if we don't...want...him?
  16. Doesn't take much to be a sellout but you would be unlucky if you got their early and missed out... But don't hold me to this - I only see Dees games at Manuka - it is such a terrible spot to watch footy; terrible atmosphere, usual cold wind coming across the ground, high UV if the sun is out so you go home (or to the pub) burnt and freezing...
  17. Jack Viney was in utero when signed to a contract...
  18. In his defence; that was me he said he hated...
  19. The problem is, as TDI/Saty will attest, they have done some ruck work at training with Frost - they haven't done it with Dawes. Jamar/Frost looks to be the preferred pairing until Gawn knocks down the door... I know it is only 20 mins a game but it is tough to throw someone a role they haven't been prepared for, and for the mids to be given a ruck they haven't worked with.
  20. I just meant 'not be the sub'... And, 'first selected'? He would be down the list quite a bit...
  21. Interesting... The better we get the more you will get out of an 'ok' game from Watts.
  22. Huge 3 year old bump...
