Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Our role players are so good precisely because you play the position you train in and when there is an opening, someone who has trained in that position will replace them. If Angus wants to test himself as a mid in the comp that is his prerogative but it would be a damn shame. We just can’t give him the midfield minutes he wants as he is our 4th best mid and Harmes and Sparrow can’t do what he can do in other roles. But even those latter two don’t spend much time as pure mids. And I don’t think a game here and there is going to placate him. His concussion issues also play a part in just throwing him around being irresponsible - the midfield is the coalface - it can get hot in there even for the best prepared. If he stays, he stays knowing his 4th in the Brownlow is the remnant of what could have been, an unfulfilled promise ruined by circumstance.

“Might and Power might not be able to speak English or converse in any way but jeez he knows more about horse racing than all these shielas!”- Daisy's commentary
Well, that was something. She is so smart and thoughtful. And did they say Derm gave Huddo a drive by during the commentary of a game on the weekend about ‘playing zero games of footy’? Lol, love these blokes losing their minds as people who aren’t former footy players talk about the game better than they do…- Daisy's commentary
This x 1000. I know there will be ‘bang bang bang’ t shirts soon… We are Melbourne supporters, we shouldn’t be so enamoured with neanderthallic rantings during our apogee. We should have a few more years - let’s hope we have another moment with a better soundtrack to define our re-emergence.- Farewell Luke Jackson
You do realise that when they look like idiots, we would have got nothing for Jackson? … Because we would look like idiots too…- Daisy's commentary
You’ll get used to it the more you talk to women… I believe in you!- Daisy's commentary
This is the most you have written on a subject in years! Didn't know you were so passionate about the callers of our great game and those that supply special comments…- Final Nine Proposal (if Tassie enter the comp)
Make it a top 10, and have 7 v 10 and 8 v 9 in the bye week before finals. Solved. You're welcome.- Farewell Luke Jackson
That may be the best option. Petty may be the best tall forward bridge to a longer term option.- Farewell Luke Jackson
Would love to know what the Footy Dept thinks of Van Rooyen and his prospects; the tall forward situation is the biggest need we have into 2023 and beyond. If we don’t have the long term solution we can always do what we did with Brown and what GC did with Casboult and fill the need short term to buy time and not commit to the NQR option (ie McStay).- CHANGES: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Well, that makes things easier. Or harder. Petty ok to come back? Was he mentioned?- Training Ground?
It’s quite excellent now and money will continue to be spent there.- Welcome to Demonland: Kalani White

Interesting conversation. Our sustained success will be at the feet of Petracca, Oliver, Lever, Viney, Langdon and whatever stars firms with them past Gawn, May, and the two big boys up forward.- Farewell Luke Jackson
My response was to Geelong. They shouldn’t be here saying hello. Who do they think they are?- Farewell Luke Jackson
Oh, ummm, well… [censored] off?- Jordan De Goey
Where is he playing? He’s not playing midfield with our stars. So HFF? Expensive mid sized forward? Another Fritsch? It’s just not good list management and balance.- CHANGES: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
TMac played 3rd tall last year so no. Weideman hasn’t been able to replicate the role that TMac played so we look to be going smaller. It may be our best bet and Melksham might be the best medium tall option beside Fritsch. He plays taller than he is, he competes, and he can play a negating role if necessary.- The Run Home
Love all the permutations and possibilities but we are a really good team a game clear in the top 2 with 5 rounds to go. We should be aiming for a home QF.- The Run Home
Perhaps. But their best and worst are polar opposites. Lost to Essendon recently too.- Cam Zuhaar
Fritsch is our medium forward with little defensive effort. Can’t afford another one. - Daisy's commentary
