  1. And we appreciate you having a crack Was that nonsense that will never happen? Yes. But the effort, dg The effort

I have heard similar so that’s not great… But whatever, how important can a CEO be anyway
  3. Humphrey or Petracca stays.
  4. In terms of the counting of chickens before they have hatched - you are standing in line at the farmers market at 1pm hoping they still have eggs…
  5. Maybe let her know that when she is older she might want to fondly remember a player that was a Demon Champion.
  6. That pic looks like they are certainly finalising some sort of deal
  7. Glad you’re speaking for yourself
  8. You were not the only one, lol. It’s been said, you are just trying to give Viney a drive by as is your want to do. Have at it - but he ain’t being pushed out of the club froM what I can see

    We are more exploding
  10. That lines up with him telling a reporter that he was just told he is more likely to play Casey than in our midfield… that lines up from reports…
  11. So when Guerra said King had them ‘in his 23’ was that alphabetically? Metaphysically? Astronomically? Diabolically?
  12. So we are a motivated seller with Oliver and an unmotivated seller with Petracca. The odds that we have both in 2026 would be high. $3m for players that either don’t want to be here or that we don’t want them to be here… The Shambles Meter is off the charts atm
  13. Ok then. Direct your ire at the club mate, not me. Oliver is now too slow and only has elite hands to be in the midfield in AFL. We have to move on from that. You can boo the young player that replaces him if you want.
  14. Yes, I personally don’t think we will be able to offload Oliver, but telling him now he is going to be challenging Woey for a HBF role (just postulating) in October is great. He won’t be surprised when it happens and it gives certainty to a Rivers or a Laurie or whoever that there are minutes there for you in a midfield that hasn’t changed in 6 years.
  15. Yeah, and where do you think supporters will direct their emotion? They don’t live in a vacuum. I would love to think that the admin can withstand the pressure to ‘get him out of here!1!’ but only to a point. King will not want Rd 1 to be about CP5 getting harassed as he ascends out of the rooms. Talk about hiding to nothing
  16. This is a great post, mate. It’s a crucial push back for those of us who want to remember his time in red and blue fondly because of the profound experience we went through that fateful night. AND also because we have to keep the conceit up that we would be fine if he stays because THAT IS THE ONLY EFFING LEVERAGE WE HAVE TO GET A GOOD DEAL. And this scenario is also one of the few occasions where fan sentiment matters - if you spew venom at CP5 or demand the club get rid of him for his ‘lack of loyalty’ - then the club will be under pressure to accept 50 cents on the dollar. So can we just cool down? See things the way KozzyCan sees things and you’ll be better off. In life and in trade.
  17. That would be part of the definition, yes.
  18. Same here! But it requires a fan group to be equally demanding and realistic AND understanding if CP5 does stick around. Because the club let him explore his options but his club of choice couldn’t satisfy the demands of the club. Too many are already making this so emotional that the club will struggle to keep the above stand with the pressure.
  19. And we have only been a basket case for a few years
  20. I agree but also from Kings words about our brutality around the footy - he won’t abandon what he found most defining.
  21. Not how it works but it does belie the dirty little secret that not many are calling outright - the club has some agency to say that we will never trade him under contract but we are not saying that, and why are we not saying that? Because we might get a deal that we would prefer to having CP5 for the next few years. So this ‘why won’t he just say he wants to stay then!1!1!1’ nonsense is just that when the club is equally as obtuse as the employer with a contracted player.
  22. I don’t agree and that is fine.
  23. Moron… noted, Greg. When we first drafted him we tried desperately to trade away that pick to avoid having to reach for a tall as was the weird expectation that weak clubs get placed under - so that was not a great start. But, alas, no, that was not the desperation that I was referring to; the desperation was playing him in 2025 because we seemingly had no worthier options. To play these boys before they are near the outer grounds of being ready, is an act of desperation and counter to the success of a career that was always going to ‘start’ when they were 23 if ever, and now looks more like ‘if ever’ will win the day.
