  1. I'm sure she will be. It's how we got Casey Sheriff and Saraid Taylor, who were replacement players for Daisy Pearce and Sammi Johnson when they were pregnant. Both were extended.
  2. You beat me to it, I was going to say the same thing!! Clubs have no say over the use of Ticketmaster.
  3. Yeah, 8 years of Great Depression with food rations would do that to a society
  4. I can see that yet again the positive attitudes in Demonland are shining through.
  5. I think the combination of Loz and Campbell in the ruck is very handy, especially as they can both play forward. In the latter part of the season we had three quality rucks which was definitely a luxury, but alas Rhi's retirement brings us back to 2. I would be happy to keep Tayla, especially as Gall is still developing. I do think Tay's role will revert back into the forward again, with the option of her filling in in the ruck if needed (ie if both Georgia Campbell and Loz Pearce are unavailable for whatever reason. Paxy I fear may have played her last game, she's 37 now and her foot is pretty much cactus. Gabby Colvin I think will put in another year. I hope so, she was having a ripper of a season before her concussion, reaching her pre ACL form. She's keen to play on, providing a fantastic support for Gillard and Chaplin.
  6. They were top up players, not on our list. So they don't actually have AFLW contracts. Also Denby Taylor was a replacement player for Aimee Mackin, who was put on our inactive list very early in the piece.
  7. Cheers for the update. I had a feeling this might be the case.
  8. What's the situation with Noah Yze? Is he set to be drafted this year? Because I can't see his name mentioned anywhere and we only have two draft picks, and no spots in rookie A.
  9. Players were all in black armbands for Jack. I chatted to Edo after the game, she said the players were all devastated about the accident. The club has reached out to the family and offered support.
  10. Fair enough, I apologise :)
  11. Correct me if I'm wrong but your comment comes across as supporting media leaks.
  12. I'm so sorry. I hope your boy is okay, as is the rest of his team.
  13. So you advocate for deliberate destabilising of the club. Good to know.
  14. Right, so now you're calling Brad Green a liar? Because that's not what he indicated in his letter.
  15. Oh, you're right, a couple of commerce units on Open University.
  16. Cannot imagine it. Poor family.
  17. It hit home for me because my nephew is the same age as Jack. I can't imagine how the family must be feeling, as I can't fathom something horrible like that happening to James. Just horrible. I feel like crying.
  18. I note the club has responded to his dad's Instagram post saying they'll get in touch with an offer to help in any way they can. Lovely gesture.
  19. A degree in social work is not going to run a multi million dollar football club.
  20. Let's see. He oversaw the developments at Casey Fields. He has got us closer than any other CEO to a home base with the Caulfield proposal. He has got the club in the best financial shape it's every been in. He has seen us get to the highest membership in the club's history.
  21. David Chippendall is a finance person. Does that mean he knows how to manage an organisation?
  22. It's been mentioned she had some sort of medical episode. All in all, such a tragic thing to have happen. That poor family.
  23. Just been announced Pert is stepping down. Hope those of you calling for his head are happy. It's one thing being president, quite another to be CEO, given Pert has been the one that has put the club in its best financial position in the club's history, I hope you all have a competent person in mind to take over.
  24. We have a couple of him in the Army! My nephews donโ€™t like sitting near one of them, his voice scares the living daylights out of them!
  25. This game I look on with great fondness, for no other reason as it was the first game of football my dad ever went to. He was a 10 year old kid at the time, living in Brighton, trying to decide which footy team to barrack for. Those were still the days of your footy club reflecting the area in Melbourne in which you lived, and in his area the choice was St Kilda or Melbourne. Nana grew up around the corner from the Brunswick St Oval, so naturally she barracked for Fitzroy, but Dad didn't want to barrack for them in Brighton. A friend from his from his school invited him to the grand final replay, and Dad became a Melbourne supporter from that day on. If it wasn't for that friend, I wouldn't have followed my dad to be a Melbourne supporter today.
