  1. EXACTLY! The perenially outraged media [censored] will find fault with anything we do as a club. Damned if we do, damned if we don't.
  2. They all are. Last night that Morris scumbag posted a tweet along the lines of "Petracca will not be at the B&F". And when several Melbourne supporters pulled him up on the video the club put out as to why, and stating he should be posting on the positive, he doubled down on his dickheadedness, putting in laughin emojis etc. I truly hate him.
  3. One of those so called supporters has the surname Morris and the last name Tom. Still bitter about the fact the club turfed him out as an employee when he was leaking info to the media. Little wonder Jesse Hogan hates his guts.
  4. The media have stooped to new lows on this, and they're really [censored] me to tears. How dare they take a positive story of him getting to the stage where he is able to train to full capacity, wants to go the extra mile to get himself mentally and physically in the best shape he can be for 2025 and speak positively on his role in the future direction of the club, and all those [censored] leeches want to go on about is how he's missing the Best and Fairest? FFS, they're the absolute pits, the lowest form of humanity, the absolute scum that I dread to scrape off the bottom of the shower recess. I truly hate them.
  5. He’s been given the go ahead to train at full capacity, according to the article from yesterday.
  6. Yes. They should have.
  7. How’s this for an interesting take - I’ve seen suggestions in various social media reports that MRC are looking at funding this through potentially selling Sandown Racetrack. If that’s the case, would Melbourne need to raise a huge amount?
  8. The interview with Trac the club just put out is really lovely, I have to say. Doesn’t stop me being still a tad angry with him but it’s diminishing!
  9. I'm not surprised but I'm seriously annoyed about it. As Perty said at last year's AGM, if it was as simple as the idea of getting a training ground, it would have been done years ago. The biggest barrier to this happening sooner is the lack of readily available space close to the city that members would be happy with, with stakeholders willing and able to make it happen. Here's probably the best opportunity we have since Gutnick turned down the Olympic Park precint we're ever going to have. FFS, let's embace it!
  10. Keeping out the filthy aspects of society, ie those who wear black and white
  11. I'm assuming that the business case is to get funding and get it all happening.
  12. and yet I've come across plenty of tiger snakes in eastern suburbs around parklands and waterways :)
  13. you don't think there'd be snakes in the middle of the Caulfield Racecourse? There's a massive lake there, how many tiger snakes would that attract?
  14. Love Greeny, he's pure class
  15. Just got the email!! Just got the email!!!
  16. I’d say it’s more because MCC members have reciprocal membership to the VRC and MRC
  17. MFC was started by the MCC back in 1858, and we've been the football sectional of the MCC since. It was dissolved back in about 1982 or thereabouts but the affiliation was reinstated by Jim Stynes when he was President. MCC has a number of other sports sections, such as lawn bowls, etc, we happen to be the football section. https://mcc.org.au/club-sport/club-sport/melbourne-football-club#:~:text=Melbourne Football Club (MFC) and,MCC Sporting Section in 1890.
  18. We're a part of the MCC.
  19. To be honest I couldn't care less if the non-Melbourne supporting members of MCC have any objections or not. Around a third of the 130,000 MCC members declared Melbourne as their team anyway. Those that are not Melbourne supporters joined a club knowing full well the MFC is the official football branch of the club, so if they have an issue with it, it's their own doing, as far as I'm concerned.
  20. To be fair, Joe Biden is too young for Geelong.
  21. It's amazing what can be accomplished when they can't exploit paper bag deals....
  22. A big problem with AAMI Park is that MFC don't have exclusive rights to the facilities, it has to be shared amongst Melbourne Victory and Melbourne Storm. The facilities are also better out at Casey, MFC have exclusive use of the facilities there because it is their investment.
  23. I'm counting 16 there.....
  24. Dipper in the 1989 Grand Final, from a punctured lung curtesy Gary Ablett.
  25. We wouldn't have to, if the media acted appropriately and didn't set about damaging our club.
