POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Sydney
IMO The defence is fine. Reid only got on top of Tomlinson when Petty was off for most of the 2nd quarter. The mid-forward connection is obviously concerning as well. However, we are absolutely tired. Probably not from loading, probably because footy is an exhausting sport and we have a team of young players coming off shortened preseasons. Evidence of this, we jumped Freo and Sydney in the first quarter until they worked us over. Our general work rate is lower this year across the ground but it suffers as the game goes on.

Riv will push hard for selection Will be to good for this level

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
If Tmac is out, i want to play Weed as the solo KPF with Max and Jacko floating through as required. Fritta is our best forward and i would love another medium tall in the team to tag along with him but frankly we dont have one. Hunt had a shocker but has played the role well in the past, maybe a mid can be used here. Regardless both browns do not deserve to retain their spots, team structure be damned. Bedford deserves to be in over many in the team as he shows real desire and passion where others are lethargic and slow.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Out: B Brown M Brown Tomlinson In: Weid McDonald May Also tempting to bring the riv back, take sparrow out and slot Gus at HF. We are desperate for classy kicking forward of centre.

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Clarry started slow but had a huge quarter. Pressure is up. And crowd is getting involved. Big 4th quarter coming up.

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Tackles 26 - 44 Not enough pressure

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Petty doing run throughs on the boundary Looks proppy but likely to come back on

Taylor Walker
Regardless of poor character, we don't need a 30+ KPF. If we want to trade, they should be 23-24 but it's more likely we head to the draft and pick up some young talent

TEAMS: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Salem is simply not a VFL player If he his match fit and available he is in the team. Simple as that. He will probably take time to build up to 100% match fitness but it will happen in the firsts.

Midway 2022 Report Card
We are no 1 for tackles inside 50. Which is a great stat to have However, I don't think 2-way defensive running = pressure. And i think our two way running is still elite.

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Sydney
I think hunty used his speed to close down smalls now He is no longer asked run and rebound as this exposes his disposal the most, and often leaves him running into traffic

AFL Mid-Season Draft 2022
Jai Culley, another dandenong stingrays product is looking to go to West Coast Stingrays look to be producing some decent players these days

TEAMS: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
Weed is a no. 1 forward being played as a no. 2. He is not good enough to replace Brown yet, and his game/body type doesn't suit a mobile tall like TMAC. He's also stepped up multiple times this year and had some fine performances. In 4 years or so we'll be seeing weid at FF and Van Roo at CHF.

TEAMS: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
Gus on the offensive wing would be interesting

Blues the Dee-stroyers?
and frankly we've been doing something quite similar. A big burst and then maintaining a lead to win.

Blues the Dee-stroyers?
ANB said this much in a recent interview, that we are only 10-0 because of the praccy match

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs North Melbourne
I'd rather be disciplined than ruthless Although i'd love to see us kick through the corridor and take more risk occasionally - but it's not our style right now

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
He is having an outstanding year, especially considering Petracca is a super star in his own right Comparatively Carlton and Bulldogs have only 1 superstar in their group which allows them to shine more. Although 'goal kicking mids' are the theme of the month at the moment - i'd rather Clarry's hard two way running and insane clearance/contested possession numbers instead.
