Not only has Goodwin's tenure been awesome, I truly enjoy watching this team play. Goodwin said that as supporters, we need to buy into the contest and defensive work and not just the flashy forward of center things. I love the guts and hardness that this team shows. Whenever i see our boys gut running hard to support a team mate, I love it as much as the flashy quick ball movement.- Team heading into finals
I do think TMAC is a smokey to return.- POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Adelaide

I would like to see 3 picks used over 1 Harley because our development system is elite. Harley will be a great player, somewhat regardless of where he goes, but 2-3 top picks going into our amazing development system will yield amazing results.- Death Riding Fremantle 2023 - Feathered Cap Edition

These journos will forever be plotting and predicting our down fall. Our forward line was on 'life support' until it wasn't. We were at risk of dropping out of the top 4, until we weren't. I see no reason why he couldn't produce a game like JVR did against Brisbane. Follow leading patterns, bring the ball to ground, and ruck in the forward line and the occasional centre bounce. I also see him being able to lead up the ground and link up from forward 50, leaving space and opportunity for other forwards, just like TMAC did in past years. I don't think he will ever become a great contested mark, or develop crafty forward skills but that doesn't mean he can't work in a forward 50 role. Barret is a slug and I will enjoy seeing these journos dumbfounded when we hold up another cup this year.- My 3 word player analysis V Brisbane
Isn't it the whole point of this thread and forum to discuss and share ideas about this team? Good analysis isn't always the most accurate or precise, but sometimes one that generates good discussion.- Farewell Brodie Grundy
Stafford being a former ruck may give us an interesting look to make this work- POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Brisbane

The ideal would have been Gawn or Grundy playing complete forward 50 role, but that just hasn't happened. Hopefully this shows some promising flexibility from Goody. It's also likely Grundy has some more years left compared to Gawn (just by my eye test), so we have a back up AA ruck if/when Gawn retires.- PREGAME: Rd 18 vs Brisbane
It might be that the plan was to get as much forward line presence from both big men during the year, then let Gawn rip with full minutes in the late part of the year. We absolutely have a lot to gain with a KPF or extra runner replacing Grundy. But we need to get the timing juuuuust right.- PREGAME: Rd 18 vs Brisbane
- Time to put the 'Kozzy Form Slump' bias to bed!
I have no questions about his work rate or endeavor. But he is at his best with ball in hand. He looked lost around the packs when i watched the replay. He is a point of difference with his speed and aggression but it just not on show at the moment.- GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs St. Kilda

We get the short end of the stick, but only because we were probably the first club to exploit the points rules with GWS- POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Geelong
Occam's razor is a nice tool to use here. Loading, team selection, game plan are all huge factors for results but to put it simply, the overall record of teams coming off byes is 2-10. The winning teams being the Saints and Pies, but they went up against other teams coming off byes as well. The doom saying, mud slinging and hair pulling is very typical after a loss here but everyone should take a deep breath and chill. - Simon Goodwin Coaching Record
