Goodwin will continue to state Brodie is a required player. Any suggestion we would be happy to push him out would immediately lower his value, as it did for Collingwood. I do believe internally we are happy to have him as a back up ruck for Max as we have no pressing cap issues. This competition has been so so close. So many finals like games this year and so many games decided by a goal or less. Carlton are red hot right now and we lost by a fingertip. We're a huge chance this year but there are many other desperate teams too.

May not needing to run up and down the d50 will good for him. And we get to use his amazing intercepting marks and play making monster left boot more often too. Tommo can put in the grunt and muscle work to beat the best tall. I hope we stick with this plan.
