  1. I don't think Melk and JVR can fit as we use our last spot forward for a resting mid. I could see the following set up. Murphy Moore Howe - Fritsch Brown Resting midfielder Daicos Maynard Noble - ANB/Spargo JVR Pickett
  2. Demonland will hate this but Sparrow's game on the weekend wasn't particularly exceptional. Sparrow vs Freo: 17 touches, 5 tackles, 6 turnovers, 3 score involvements, no goal assists and 19 pressure acts. Quite similar to Harmes' game against Port: 17 touches, 8 tackles, 4 turnovers, 1 score involvement, 26 pressure acts
  3. I think JVR could play the Melk role as a roaming tall
  4. Bring back the co-captains

Has the turning circle of a barge and regularly runs under the ball when flying for marks. Still good enough as depth.
  6. Highly underrated and hard as nails. The left boot and drive off half back is outstanding, on top of his ability to win a contest
  7. I'm sorry Sparrow and DL. You are right, harmes is not an auto include. Having a VFL squad with harmes and Dunstan at centre bounce is a testament to our depth Out Weid In brown
  8. In: Brown, Harmes Out: Weid, Sparrow
  9. May with a good couple intercepts in this q
  10. Freo have a lot to sook about :)
  11. May to gawn into the corridor ❤️❤️
  12. 4 quarters of this please!! Spargo wow!!

As always... it's fugazi. I trust the team and FD to make it work. The media can talk all they want but I believe in my dees.
  14. Freo do not seem like a big threat IMO. We had a lot of injuries in our first game and it was clearly a lull period for us. I think their forward line is not very threatening and we will handle them in the midfield. Although, I do worry about Sean Darcy crashing into our already injured tall brigade. Dees by 16 Gus BOG Fritsch, Kozzy and Weid to kick a bag
  15. If we got 12-16 games out of him it would be worth it Clutch game winner and proven goal kicker. Would make a difference in finals
  16. I love Gus and i am ecstatic to see him sign on Clayton, Petracca and Gus all dees for life, how awesome is that
  17. I think JVR would suit great in the forward line as a hard competitor, even if he's a bit raw Would offer more as a genuine forward target compared to Melk and may go under the radar as 3rd tall too

Our biggest issue is... level of competition and our draw. We received the hardest ranked draw in the league, with other finals contenders in freo and Collingwood receiving quite easy draws comparatively. The competition has also stepped up, last year we were head and shoulders above the rest but other clubs have caught up and equalised the competition.
  19. I think Salem is suffering because Angus is playing that interceptor/outlet role. JJ is also playing well on the wing which makes it hard to shift gus back there. I wonder if Gus could find a place in the forward mid mix, I think his neat disposal could be utilised there.
  20. Imagine taking two game winning marks inside 50 and playing on from both Hahahahaha
  21. Does anyone think Jye Amiss is worth taking a look at from Freo?
  22. I dont think Freo have the capital to make this a fair trade. A 3-way trade would make sense but i would be furious if we ended up with Grundy. Top picks, young tall talent, or bugger off.
  23. With Rivers, Hibbo, Hunt, Bowey and Gus we have a surplus of medium defenders. I also think Smith's foot skills look worse in the backline. The footy IQ will always be an issue for him, but i'd trust him to tag a rebounder and cut off some oppo run while being a tricky match up. I just don't see any other 2nd tall option that is viable currently, if we have 1 to many smalls, Browny has no back up or support. If we include Weid or JVR, i don't think they have the mobility or tank to play foil properly.
  24. In: Petty, Oliver Out: Tommo, Bedford Tommo played great but Petty is better. Bedford had little impact and i like Melk playing the lockdown role at HF. He can take a tall to help Brown, prevent some rebound and has neat disposal entering inside 50. Additionally, i think 1 goal, 7 tackles, some score involvements/assists deserves a reward. We should trust Melk a little after seeing how well Hibbo is playing currently.
  25. I think the medium tall in Melk is actually the answer. Melk can play a role to shut down a 2nd or 3rd tall/rebounder and is mobile enough around ground, and big enough to contest for marks. His kicking is also an asset entering inside 50. Honestly we miss another quality medium tall like another Bayley or a fit Joel Smith who can play a defensive role up forward. JVR is too fresh and Weid doesn't contest hard enough, has average field kicking and poor mobility
