😘 enjoy the win mate

Can we talk about Kolt?
Exactly, he consistently lands in the top 3 for work rate in defence. If people want to see a stand out trait, it's that.

Can we talk about Kolt?
The kid had an injury that kept him out for 12 weeks. I will hold on passing judgement until he has a full preseason or two under his belt. Was nibs doing this in his 2nd year? Bit of a revisionist history IMO. He certainly stood out with his work rate, but his disposal used to be horrendous and he was incredibly fumbly.

It’s over - if you’re CEO, what’s the fix?
The main changes I would make would be to send off Radford/Jones and recruit a genuine, experienced midfield and tactics coach. We really appointed these two out of necessity as no other assistant coach was available IMO. With the cap, left over I'm recruiting a new goal kicking and skills coach, leaving Choco as just a dev coach.

PREGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
Windsor is interesting. He was dropped, went to Casey to play midfield. Playing at HB wasn't working, I hope he comes back to the 1s in a new role.

Farewell Judd McVee
McVee has a very high ceiling. He is not a 'lockdown' defender exclusively. Half back is now one of the most important positions on the ground as a lot of scoring relies on good ball use out of the back half. He is a great runner, moves well through traffic and is a good kick. We would be extremely unlucky to lose him off the back of this all around terrible year, where he is struggled to build fitness and form off the back of an interrupted pre-season.

Farewell Judd McVee
I dont disagree that we need a shake up in the football department, but Judd is our only best 22 player OOC. The majority of our young talent is contracted.

GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Petts, he is not a forward, but we just have to compete at a minimum. Hard work gets the reward.

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Gold Coast
Casey has 0 small forwards or natural crumbers Mentha could be that guy but seems like more of an outside rebounder type Serious small forward recruitment drive needed

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Gold Coast
Casey captain as well, really not up to it

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Gold Coast
It was happy to see Deakyn Smith return to Casey but it has not been a good year for him. Just got mowed down from behind by Leo Lombard.

Blake Howes Re-Signs Until 2027
I'd say the Hawks also used a similar undersized key defensive structure last year. IMO they look worse with a clunky Barass and Sicily there now. Im very keen to see AMW return as I feel he has similar traits to Hibberd, tough, super aggressive and fast. IMO Salo has had a very good year, and our current game style feeds into his skill set. He was often criticized for not taking on aggressive kicks but we need to reliably chip the ball in our back half to rebound.
