What are YOU going to do about it?

Will the great Yze_Magic be making the trip down to Skilled next week? -
Yes, my crowd predictions are impeccable. 26,289

They are tasty odds. I dreamed this score last night: Melb 3.2.20 7.5.47 11.9.75 16.12.108 WB 4.4.28 7.10.52 11.15.81 13.19.97

Dees to put down Doggies in return of 'The Kid'
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Yze_Magic's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes for 2 reasons. 1) Dogs like a dry and hard track, to utilise their pace and running game. 2) The margin won't be 100 points again -
Dees to put down Doggies in return of 'The Kid'

Bold prediction # 3 Robbo to kick a goal before junk time Bold prediction #4 Sir Brock McLean returns to his 2006 form with a 31 possession, 8 mark, 3 goal, 9 tackle inspirational performance combined with Col's 6 goals sees the class of 2003 (excluding Chris Johnson) run amok. -
Dees to put down Doggies in return of 'The Kid'
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Yze_Magic's topic in Melbourne Demons
Although I don't think he'll kick 6, I reckon Sylvia will have a big game. Robbo must stay for one more week. 7 goals in our last 2 games suggests that he is our main avenue for goal. Although he's gotta stop kicking goals in junk time. If there is one team we can beat, it's the Dogs. Have an excellent record over them, particularly at the MCG. But unfortunetly I can't see a massive turnaround in form. I just hope they do what Richmond did in round 2 2006. After getting smashed by the Dogs by 117 points in the season opener, they put in a much more spirited performance against St Kilda by only losing by 9pts. -
New Leadership Group at Sandy

Dunn - 5 goals and BOG. Me thinks he'll be in next week. -
Any ideas how the Dees can somehow remain competitive in this one??
-
He already lit a fire after the Doggies game in Bendigo, and look what happened the next week. Pumped V North.
-
Doggies haven't beaten us at the MCG since round 7 2001. OK really clutching at straws
-
Not a bad ground. Basically your standard VFL ground with brand new facilities. There is more chance of Wayne Carey winning a noble peace prize than AFL games being staged there. I think the Cranbourne journo's were having a slow news day.

Yeah I just bought a seat for $23.90 in the Southern Terrace. Not bad value I need help. I am mentally ill. Youami, we need to see a shrink, because we're gluttens for punishment

And now for some good news ...
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Freddy Fuschia's topic in Melbourne Demons
If Rivers plays for Sandy this week, it just shows me that Bailey has no interest in winning this week. How can we possibly win a game with our current defence. Rivers, Bartram and Dunn must play this week, while Whelan should get a gig for rd 3 V Geelong. -
Exactly. When he delivered a poor pass into our forward 50, he was angry with himself and you could see he was hurting. Meanwhile every other player just trotted along to the next position without caring after they made their mistake.

Cameron Bruce - overpaid, soft, pathetic

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 1
Bring-Back-Powell replied to dees_rule_4eva's topic in Melbourne Demons
6) - PJ - Made the least amount of mistakes. Good overhead marks. Looked like half a footballer (as compared to 18 or 19 other MFC clowns) Perhaps should be first ruckman next week as a reward. 5) - Jones - Already on his way to a B&F win. Disapointed he missed the first goal of the game (when he snapped out on the full). Could've given us some impetus. Always puts in but unfortunetly doesn't have silky skills. Deserves 5 or 6 votes. 4) - Green - Cheeky and sneaky 4 votes (any other game he wouldn't deserve votes), but kicked a couple of goals, fought the game out well and looked like our most skilled player out there. Suggestions of his demotion to Sandy is silly. 3) Mclean - gets votes purely because he was our highest disposal getter (26). Looks like he's turned into a dull & ordinary player, which is heart-breaking. I want his 2006 back! 2) Moloney - At least had a go and has a bit of mongral, but his disposal was often garbage and gave away frees. 1) Morton - Deserves some best and fairest votes for a couple of gutsy efforts - considering his slight frame. Buckley was listed in the best in the Heraldsun, so perhaps apologies to him. I liked his willingness to take the opposition on, but wouldn't get a game for anyone else. -
There is no way they'll drop Robbo, Bruce, Green and White. If it wasn't for Robbo and Green we would've kicked 1 goal for the whole game
-
A midfield comprising of Jones, McLean, J Mac with Bruce and Moloney as our second brigade is our only hope of dominating a line. Looks good on paper.

Any other suggestions This is why I'm so pessimistic about Sunday.

As much as I'd love Rivers there at CHB, the general consensus around here is that he'll be lining up for Sandy this weekend. Holland - CHB Miller- CHF My defence would be: Frawley on Mark Williams Carroll on Roughead Bell on Buddy Franklin Holland on Tim Boyle Wheatley to help out as well. My attack would be: Miller chasing marks between 60-80 mtrs from goal Neitz and Robbo staying close to goal Juice to hang around 35-50. Davey to play most of game as our crumber (due to Bate and Sylvia missing) Yze to hang around the goals as well. The defence experiment has failed in my book. If our defence is getting caned (highly likely) Miller is to go back and Holland could possibly go foward (ala 2004 and late last year) My major request is for Bailey to urge these boys to bloody kick the thing long at all costs. We have no ability to play the handball game.

Sobering and realistic post there CBoy Why doesn't Lyon do something about the problem, rather than just write a couple of paragraphs that we don't already know about. If his mate JB can get off his ass and do something about his beloved Roos, then why can't Garry do the same.

I reckon Meeson could be good as a pinch-hitter in the forward line - to create a mis-match concern for the opposition defenders. His only shot for goal against Geelong was a nice 45 mtr set shot, so it proved to me that he is a good kick. I'm not sure of his marking credentials. The major problem is Meeson was very underwhelming in the pre-season and will probably need 6 weeks to prove himself at Sandy.
