Time to go Goody?
Can someone please explain the 12 month pay out clause? Is it a matter of if Goodwin's sacked today, we would have to pay him through to 7 April 2026 and then the balance through to 31 October is negotiable between the two parties??

Time to go Goody?
What happened to Simon's Sign Off? I was awake till about 3am after the game waiting for his video.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Yes it is. That's how far we've fallen as a footy side. But that doesn't change the fact that Kozzie and Fritta aren't kicking 0.6 between them every week. If they kick 4.2 next week between them we might actually win against a lesser opponent or go very close.

NON-MFC: Round 04
Scary to think that they beat us by 15 goals last year when we were still a semblance of a competent side.

Time to go Goody?
Thereโs talk that Enright might succeed Lyon in a perfect world for St Kilda.

Time to go Goody?
Ross Lyon reinforced today why a non premiership coach can be regarded as a better coach than a premiership winning coach. 17 years in the caper and still getting the best out of his list while implementing a game plan that suits the modern day.

NON-MFC: Round 04
Freo on Easter Saturday might be a significant event for the club.

NON-MFC: Round 04
Can see St Kilda being one of those sides that goes from missing the 8 to finishing top 4 either after round 24 or at the conclusion of the finals. Theyโll win the majority of their games at Marvel and will pick up a bonus away win today. Could even beat GWS next week at a neutral venue. Port are a bit like us at the moment. Severely low on confidence.

PREGAME: Rd 05 vs Essendon
No heโs still unavailable for what seems to be 2-3 weeks forever. And Lever seems to perpetually have a sprained ankle. Goodwin didnโt seem confident heโll be back next week.

New coach prospects
Itโs understood Corey Enright is rising up the ranks. Maybe one to consider.

NON-MFC: Round 04
Even St Kilda have gone past us and left us for dead.

NON-MFC: Round 04
If the Eagles can keep the margin to 4 goals V GWS today then weโll be on the bottom.

PREGAME: Rd 05 vs Essendon
Draperโs kicked 6 goals which is two more than our leading goal kicker who has 4 despite Draper playing one less game than us. Can see him causing all sorts of problems for us next week.

PREGAME: Rd 05 vs Essendon
Rock bottom will be going 0-8 after losing to Richmond and West Coast in consecutive weeks.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
If West Coast can keep the margin to around a 4 goal loss to GWS then weโll be stone motherless last after a month of footy. Weโre also win and percentage behind a team that was talked about as possibly going 0-23 this year.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Fair point. But Geelong were still more accurate than us. And you donโt have to convince me of the coachโs shortcomings at the moment.

NON-MFC: Round 04
If you evaluate Richmond and Melbourneโs start to the season, youโd have Richmond starting as favourites on Anzac Eve. Weโll be lucky to score 90 points in a game this year and Richmond just did it against the reigning premier. A poor win by Brisbane, but theyโre correctly cruising in the young season.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
One negative which can actually turn into a positive is Fritta and Kozzie kicking 0.6 between them. Kick 4.2 instead of 0.6 and weโre losing by 17 points in a highly respectable loss. And letโs face it some of those misses both boys eat for breakfast normally. Both players average just under 3 scoring shots a game in their career , which was pretty much bang on last night. If next week both players are having 3 scoring shots each, Iโd venture a guess weโd be getting at least a 3 goals 3 behind outcome between the both of them. Itโs completely unsustainable for the opposition to rely on Fritta and Kozzie to continually miss goals, and therefore scoreboard pressure will start to turn around from the MFC.

100% wholeheartedly agree with Kane Cornes. The AFL has gone past Goodwin.

How many players have improved ?
Bowey and Chandler have both objectively improved. T Macโs unexpected renaissance is continuing. Petty, Rivers, Viney, Spargo and JVR in general and Frittaโs goal kicking have all gone to the dogs. The rest have stagnated (Oliver, Trac Gawn, Salem, Lever, Turner, Sparrow) When 3 players are at the top of their game, youโre probably winning 2 to 4 games for the year. I wonder how many Hawthorn players have improved and/or are at the top of their game?

Time to go Goody?
I wish the press wouldโve asked him last night why every single last quarter of ours this year has been absolutely diabolical. Is it fitness? Confidence? Do we drop our heads to easily when the opposition halts our short lived momentum? Instead all I see was a bunch of compliments and back slapping from both the coach and journos about our improved spirit last night. As if weโve achieved the bare minimum standard of AFL effort.

Jack Viney Extends Contract Until 2028
Hopefully he retires early and resumes the internship he had a couple of summers ago with a well know financial services company.

Time to go Goody?
Not if we get done by 10 goals most weeks, win 2 games and become the easy beats of the competition.

GAMEDAY: Rd 04 vs Geelong
4 losses ranging from 2, 15, 28, and 80 points 1 win - the Max goal after the siren in 2021.
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 04 vs Geelong
We do well in Geelong when the year ends in a 5. 2005 - break a 7 game losing streak and survive a Matt Egan kick after the siren to win by a point. 2015 - the Max Gawn coming out game where we won by 4 goals and I reckon we were more of an outsider in that game than tonight. We're due our 10 yearly win down there....(yeah, yeah I know we won in 2021)
