Welcome to Demonland: Pick 5
Port are on record as demanding 2 first round draft picks for Houston. Can't see them agreeing to that.

Your Preferred Premier 2024
Probably that regular poster who barracks for Carlton.

It can happen. GWS to lose to Sydney, then beat Brisbane, then beat Port. Hawthorn beat Dogs, then beat Geelong, then beat Sydney.

14th
Our lack of pressure (or specifically the picking and choosing of which we week we brought pressure) and atrocious skills explain exactly why we're the 5th worst side in the league. Compare that to the teams that are currently playing in the finals. We have a massive amount of work to do if we want to return to finals next year. A return of a few injured players isn't going to simply solve everything, IIRC we had a far stronger team in for the Freo debacle compared to the final game. The mindset to bring uncompromising and unconditional pressure week in week out is the main factor that will determine if we jump back up the ladder.

Tom Lynch
He's due some luck on the injury front and may end up playing 20 games next year.

Thank you St. Kilda
A clear example of two teams that went in exactly the opposite directions after their round 11 meeting.

Anyone from interstate, aside from Brisbane.

NON-MFC: Round 24
Did BT just say: ”The formula for St Kilda is pretty simple. Win and they’re in the finals”

Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
Is it possible he’s not suited to the JVR/Petty/Turner setup? He plays his best football as that deep lead up forward ala Jason Dunstall. In the second half of the year he’s become a bit part player that chases kicks high up the ground. Some assessment is needed in the off season to (re)utilise a class goal kicker.

How Many Weeks For Kozzy?
Not a hope in hell gets off. Your opponent gets concussed you’re gone in 2024. If a Collingwood player did it to one of our players we’d be screaming blue murder and booing him for the remainder of the game. Kozzie needs to stop putting himself in these vulnerable positions, and they’ll be livid he’ll be unavailable until round 4.

How Many Weeks For Kozzy?
Four MRO suspensions between round 1 2023 and round 24 2024. I’m sorry but it’s not good enough from a highly paid professional.

How Many Weeks For Kozzy?
DeGoey, Mihocek and McStay (last years final) are precisely the players that have caused us troubles in recent meetings. Yeah we had more out, but they weren’t exactly at full strength, and played a number of inexperienced players.
-
How Many Weeks For Kozzy?
Yeah you’d have to wonder if they would’ve been so conservative if they had a game next week, as Moore would’ve copped the 12 day rule.

How Many Weeks For Kozzy?
A crucial year for Goodwin next year and he’s already behind the 8 ball before he’s had a chance to even review the season - with Kozzie missing the first 3-4 weeks.

Goodwin is the MAN!
it was remiss of us yesterday not to acknowledge and celebrate the one year anniversary of this uplifting and joyous news that all us members and supporters received. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/1413693/goodwin-signs-on#:~:text=MELBOURNE AFL Senior Coach Simon, contract extension with the club.

POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Thanks mate. We were essentially -27 points in pressure for the first 3 quarters and it showed. Collingwood waltzed the ball out of our defensive 50 with absolute ease and at the other end we simply couldn’t or wouldn’t lay a glove on them. An all too familiar theme this year. Our pressure has generally stunk this year and it was a hallmark and brand of Goodwin coached sides as recently as last year. Without that, what is Goodwin’s point of difference as a coach?

NON-MFC: Round 24
Strange things happen in round 24. Wouldn’t shock me if Richmond beat GC today to put a bow on our lousiest season in years. Suns had checked out of the hotel at half time last week.

POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
One things for certain is that we can’t match Collingwood’s high octane, helter skelter offence. Time and time again they’re just to slick for us. And what was the deal with their desperation in a dead rubber of a game versus our mid February AAMI community series like defensive pressure on display last night? I’m flabbergasted we actually won a game against them last year. Hopefully it’s just once we meet next year.

How Many Weeks For Kozzy?
I can handle losing last night as we had a ton out (as they did too). What I can’t handle is the knowledge all summer that our most talented player with the biggest point of difference will be making his season debut as late as Gather round under the concussion climate that we now live under. We can’t possibly go unscathed against that mob and this particular player struggles with education when it comes to high contact and footballing acts that are obsolete, or at least putting himself in these vulnerable MRO positions. I’m sure this will go as far as the appeals, so fingers crossed we get on the right side.

Laurie Extends for 2 More Years
You could probably say the same about Woewodin.

I actually don’t mind him.

3 weeks knowing our luck. A fitting end to a garbage season.
