  1. Caro on the Agenda Setters said that Port V GC is the Friday night game. Maybe a double header?
  2. We’re talking to James Hird according to E McGuire.
  3. Surely it will be Troy Chapman. He's the longest tenured assistant and he took the post game pressers after the pre season games.
  4. That's only a couple bucks more than parking at Crown on a Saturday. Don't give them ideas. I'm sure they read this forum.
  5. Yep agree with this. Dogs are far better at Marvel and rarely play at the G, and when they do they inevitably lose. They’ve lost 7 out of their last 9 games at the G dating back to 2022 and the two wins were against a hapless Richmond.
  6. Despite heading towards historical inaccuracy that has cost us about 5 games this year, we’re officially now 17th on the accuracy ladder, not 18th!! Go us!! Since the bye we’ve kicked a far more respectable 85.70 (56%). Prior to the bye we were around 46%.
  7. Saints come out flat with an early 19 point deficit to North. Didn’t see that coming….
  8. I get that it was nauseating to see the St Kilda supporters over celebrating the win, but we also would’ve celebrated like lunatics if we came from 46 points down. It was a monumental achievement and we just happened to be on the wrong side of it.
  9. Disappointing that he’s departing according to Caro. Let’s hope Howes and/or AMW can be an adequate replacement.
  10. Percentage has somehow climbed up to 95%. Aided by today and the 6,000 sub 10 point losses we’ve had this year.
  11. That aspect has actually been much better since the bye.
  12. That’s a strange but accurate take. Beveridge also in the same camp but to a lesser extent.
  13. Lucky to get 10k. Looks busier on the bottom and second level than it actually is because of the top deck being closed. Reminds me of a NAB cup game they used to have in the 2000’s at Marvel where you’d get 6k and the top deck’s closed.
  14. If we’re any hope of winning this we need to address our last quarters at Marvel this year. Us - 1.6.12 North/St Kilda - 17.3.105
  15. Has kicked 4 goals in an AFL game. Also worked at Charcoal chicken. Expect Dwayne Russell to continually rattle of these tid bits all day if he's in the commentary booth.
  16. Sign me up for this.
  17. Goodwin, ad nauseam, has continually preached that we won't be wasting a game, a quarter, a training session etc. So of course we'll be taking risks by playing injured players in a career defining game against the 1 win-18 loss West Coast side.
  18. Week 1 match ups: Adelaide (1) V GC (4) Geelong (2) V Collingwood (3) Brisbane (5) V Hawthorn (8) Fremantle (6) V Bulldogs (7) The highly talented GWS somehow missing.
  19. Putting aside the fact that a good half a dozen players should’ve been dropped after the most embarrassing loss in the club’s history, why are we playing an injured Jack Viney in the deadliest of dead rubbers you’ll ever get?
  20. Probably Windsor.
  21. "There were things that we really liked in the last 4 minutes of the game" - Simon Goodwin.
  22. And has anyone else noticed every time we lose a game, one of the opposition's players is in Gary Lyon's best 3 players of the weekend across the league - without fail (on AFL 360)
  23. The answer is yes if the board had leaked to the media that his career was riding on this result. There would absolutely nothing to gain by beating West Coast by 14 points with probably 20 more scoring shots. And let’s face it, beating West Coast is basically an automatic 4 points for every club. Even Richmond belted them the other week But given none of us knows what’s going on, I’m totally ambivalent about this result. A win basically achieves nothing aside from the Turner’s, Lindsay’s, Windsor’s and Langford’s singing the song for a rare time.
  24. The entire top level is closed for this game. Must be expecting a crowd of about 5,000.
  25. Agree with all of that. St Kilda will end the season winning 4 of their last 5 games (they now play 3 bottom 4 sides in a row) and head into 2026 sky high with confidence, and they'll trace it back to the win over us. However in reality they had lost their prior 6 games, they were worse than putrid for 3 quarters on Sunday, and I could not believe how easy they were to play against through to 3 quarter time.
