  1. Trac might be involved in a multi club trade to get this done. Or maybe our future first rounder for Windhager and Heath?
  2. A good player that’s getting better by the game. Comprehensively beat Kozze in the Alice game that sunk our season. We need a player to quell the opposition’s midfield star such as Ed Richards who willed the Dogs over the line against us.
  3. They play Russian Roulette too much and rely on the 6 goal come back. Kingsley needs to make some major adjustments over summer as they strike me as a nice home and away team, but not much more.
  4. Cadman’s been a disaster today and is Toby even playing? Hawthorn’s recruitment of Battle and Barrass is the equivalent of us getting Lever and May. They have the defence to contend this year.
  5. Darcy Jones doing his ACL might work in GWS’s favour for this game. They came home from nowhere when Ward did his ACL earlier in the year.
  6. You’re absolutely 100% correct. His players didn’t practice what he preached in 2024 and 2025.
  7. Are Hawthorn in the same bracket as Pies and Cats in terms of flag contention? Their record against top 8 sides in the home and away wasn’t great but you have to wonder if they can take it up to these two sides in a prelim and GF?
  8. Will likely be coming in next year according to X McGuire on Ch 7 news. If this is legit, it’s the correct, logical, inevitable and quite frankly obvious decision made by the AFL.
  9. The irony isn’t lost on me. The Horne Francis booing in 2023 originated from a round 2 game between Collingwood and Port at the G and then spiralled out of control by Gather Round a few weeks later. As @Ghostwriter put it last night, Crows supporters were booing Quanor for speaking up and getting Rankine in hot water as opposed to anything more sinister. Whether the booing was in poor taste is up to one’s personal judgment.
  10. Skipworth is the apparent #2 seed and results like last night won’t be hurting his credentials. The message the Collingwood coaching staff sold to their players pre game this week must have been pretty damn priceless.
  11. Putting my Collingwood hating glasses away, De Goey’s not getting suspended for that I’m afraid. The force doesn’t warrant a suspension and we’d be all screaming blue murder if one of our players got rubbed out for the same incident.
  12. A win like tonight probably doesn’t hurt Skipworth’s credentials for the MFC gig, who’s ostensibly the #2 seed behind Bucks (if you believe Jay Clark)
  13. You’re spot on and the only win of note where we grinded out a hard fought close win while out scoring the oppo in the last qtr was the Brisbane win. The fact that we could barely ever grind out a close last quarter and subsequent win should put him under pressure. Still surprising we won 10 last quarters nontheless.
  14. It will probably be 6 in a row next week. Can see Hawthorn (or to a lesser extent GWS) knocking them off next week.
  15. Pies will have a much bigger challenge against Brisbane or Geelong in the prelim than tonight V Adelaide. Two finals hardened clubs as opposed to tonight’s opponent who had no idea what they were doing.
  16. I was actually surprised we won 10 out of 23 last quarters this year, and last quarters are surely a KPI of how fit your team is. However, we lost every last quarter in our first 7 games which set the tone for the season. A massive tick for Griffiths was our superb injury list which was in turn an indictment on the coaching staff for our pathetic W/L. Consider that Carlton have been roasted just as much as us this year but they had a genuine atrocious injury run. I'm genuinely on the fence on whether to keep him, but a new boss might best for all parties.
  17. Caro on the Agenda Setters campaigning for Bucks to take the Tassie job and reckons people have advised him not to take the MFC gig.
  18. Unless clubs are lining up for his services, he'll be with us next year. A prime example of a player that objectively got worse as the season went on.
  19. Reckon Adelaide, Brisbane, GWS and Freo win week 1. In terms of other teams winning a flag, I don't want nor couldn't care less for anyone to win. But I especially don't want a VIC club to win, so I'm ok with Adelaide, Freo, GWS or Brisbane winning it. (not even bothering with GC as they won't get past Freo)
  20. Fair enough. A potential B+ grade value player we'd get in Hollands could totally be offset by behavioural issues. AFL footy isn't supposed to be a baby sitting service where you have to throw all your resources toward a very select few.
  21. Voss clearly want to kick out Elijah Hollands due to behavioural issues, but he's a damn good footballer IMO. The young bloke from Essendon (Menzie) who put 4 on us at Gather Round this year has been delisted, as well as Alwyn Davey's son.
  22. Until St Kilda win a meaningful final, that's all this mob will be talking about for years to come. If only we could've held our nerve for 10 seconds...nobody would be talking about a draw.
  23. I think Hinkley would be a good hire if you want to sneak into the 8. He'd squeeze everything out of the list and have us around the 7th to 10th area for the next 3 years. However, his finals record was pretty damn ordinary as there was often one major let down in which they had their finals destiny in their own hands - eg: the 2020 and 2021 COVID prelims where they had the luxurious position of staying home in September, or last year's 80 point home thumping to the Cats in week 1 finals. We can do better than Ken.
  24. First time I’ve had a good look at Kentfield. I’m a subscriber after that set shot.
  25. Impressed with Adams’s start. Can see him being a part of our defence next year.
