And yet Hipwood slaughters us usually. Frustrating to have the Pies win a this because they’ll get up against the Hawks in Gather Round and be 2-3 and then be back on track.

Would prefer to have won the flag last year and be 0-3 this year. Just sayin 🤷🏻♂️.
Understand it’s late and I’m sure it’ll be mentioned on the pod anyway but take a bow Jack Billings - if he can keep his body right he’ll be one of the recruits of the season. His second game in the Red and Blue against Footscray was very impressive with: 23 disposals 15 marks 20 kicks 10 score involvements 21 pressure acts 1 goal
Embarrassing start to our campaign. Carrying too many passengers like Laurie, Schache, Chandler, Spargo. Would be infinitely better with Ben Brown in. JVR had to take McCartin all night and got spliffed. Our entire forward line except Fritta was garbage tonight. Missing Petty, McAdam, Pickett and Melksham on the injury list - no wonder we were useless. We’re very much looking at an 0-2 start.
