What They Are Saying at Victoria Park: QF 1
Gee the suspense for this game is killing me. I know we can still win the flag if we lose, but like last year it'll take the Preliminary Final interstate which was just [censored]! The fear is setting in over on the Collingwood BF message boards.

Farewell Jayden Hunt
Who’s Dean Terlich? Never heard of him lol. Stoked for Hunty though, do miss him but glad he’s valued out West.

PODCAST: QF Preview vs Collingwood
Will the same game plan work against the Pies as it did on King’s Birthday? Will we try to strangle the corridor and stop Collingwood’s run and carry? If it rains as expected on Thursday, in what ways would it hurt Collingwood’s game style? My final observation is that we well and truly have the ‘wood’ over the Pies in terms of finals historically. According to the AFL Tables website, the Demons have won 16, drawn 1 and lost 5 out of 22 finals we’ve played against Collingwood.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Future first and pay his whole salary - deal or no deal. My preference would be to keep him though. If he’s contacted to play for Melbourne and we want to keep him but he wants to leave and we don’t let him. What happens then? He retires or stops playing and is in breach of contract?

TICKETING: 2023 Finals Week 01
The MCC should have loyalty points to determine access to seating during finals and which club you support. Why should for example a Richmond MCC member or a MFC/MCC who went to no games during H/A have the same level of access to a Demons finals as an MFC/MCC member who has gone to 9 games at the G all year?

Best thing for us is McKay stays at North. Eagles would be afraid they’d take Curtin with Pick 2 if they have up pick 1.

Really hope it’s a true sell out. Hands down the best final of the series unless we meet again in the GF.

Ticketek are a bunch of peanuts. x3 50 year MCC and one Full Member and the best we could do was in the nosebleeds on Level 4. What a joke! Bloody glad to have a seat but the process is infuriating.

PODCAST: Rd 24 vs Sydney
Don’t think the club has gotten plaudits for being able to make top four with a tough draw and arguably one of our worst years in terms of injuries. The ability to win 16 games despite having key stars out for key periods of the year including: Petty, TMac, Oliver, Fritsch, Brown, Salem, Gawn, Viney, Spargo, Smith and now Melksham is remarkable. Injuries play a huge factor in a successful season and despite the horror run we’ve had we’ve still found a way to put a good team on the field. Our high performance and rehab teams deserve a lot of praise in my opinion.

Worried about Salem. Had just one disposal to his name deep into the third quarter and ended on eight at the conclusion of the game. He did have a much better final term and maybe I’m being too hard on him given his 88% disposal efficiency and 21 pressure acts. It just seems like he’s really struggled at times after his injury earlier this season. He appears to lacks good acceleration from contests and generally seems slow. I’ve also noticed his kicks have more often than not lacked considerable penetration. It’s been all the more noticeable when you have backs like McVee and Rivers in the form they’re in. Salo’s experience and leadership will be crucial in the finals campaign but I wish he was in better form. What kind of role do you expect him to have against the Pies?

Jake Melksham Injury
Shame you can’t report players who cause injuries. The Sydney player clearly pushes him off play that caused the ACL - dog act.
