I totally get this was a wasted year but in the same vein, if we were as terrible as the pundits say then we overachieved making a Semi. We all know that the biggest determining factor in winning a flag is a healthy list. Nobody can argue we had this at almost any stage in the season. We got slaughtered by injuries to key players during the year and that above everything I believe cost us the flag. We can turn it around and I hope we are aggressive during trade week and the draft.
May be too early to discuss our trade options but would our forward woes be supported by trading for a key forward like Ben King? We’re still firmly in the premiership window and if we nail one of our ‘learnings’ for next year (converting shots on goal) then another top four finish will result in a home Preliminary Final and not a humiliating third consecutive straight sets exit….
I want the CEO and President to come out and do a Presser to condemn the AFL and the tribunal process. Need to bloody stand up for Gus and that we don’t accept this [censored]!
