All 3 phases of our game are shot. We were competitive when our forward line was pathetic because we had a good midfield and defence. Now they’re all pathetic and surprise surprise we are dreadful. This is just about what we can expect from now on…

The only good thing about being this bad is that we don’t have to suffer a third consecutive straight sets exit to finals…

We have one quarter to get back in this game. I’ve written us off many times and while we don’t look it from the first half - stranger things have happened. It’s not down to personnel - it’s down to execution. We have too many players with too few skills by hand and foot. Happy to admit season is cooked if we lose this game.

Season is salvageable if we win and finished if we lose. If we don’t target Maynard physically tomorrow then we’re a bunch of Peahearts. I think Collingwood will torch us sadly but I am happy to be proven wrong 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Are the expectations of this team in excess of what they can possibly deliver this season? While flags are ever won in June, the gap between our best and our worst has widened measurably this year compared to 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Melbourne might as well stay on ‘Fraud Watch’ for the rest of the season!

When you have everything to play for and do this - you’re a disgrace of an outfit. Every single line is out of its depth and playing below itself. There are lots of reasons why we’re this bad but we don’t have a single line that is performing and that’s just abysmal. We have a right to deserve more effort. I don’t expect to win every week but we MUST at least show something!
