  1. That's it, lynch goal, I'm done. Our stoppage work is absolutely appalling.
  2. Again! Handball for the sake of handballing!
  3. Can you believe that Sylvia trips over his own feet
  4. We seem to handball for the sake of handballing. Why handball to a player in trouble? Because no one is moving up ahead, no one is sheparding, no one is running.
  5. and we're second last in the league in tackles per game... not that it has anything to do with Ricky. I've been waiting to use that stat all week.
  6. No need for Canberra bashing thanks.
  7. 6. Rivers 5. Jurrah 4. Moloney 3. Jamar 2. Martin 1. Jones With an honorable mention to Gysberts
  8. you'd think the umpires would give us a kick out of sympathy
  9. Hi all, sorry to bump this but I bought a guernsey from the demon shop and got a large. It's way too big. Because I live in Canberra, I didn't get a chance to try one on so I emailed the shop and asked for dimensions in which the reply was that it should be the same as my tee shirt size. I wear a large tee so I got a large. Anyway, if there is anyone who wants to buy it, I'm happy to sell it and I'll just buy a medium from the shop again. There is one hitch though.... It has the number 31 on the back. So send me a pm if anyone is interested. Cheers.
  10. I had so much faith that he would stay, that I already bought one with #31 on the back about 3 weeks ago.
  11. I was at this game yesterday for the first three quarters and GWS looked very ordinary. They will be murdered in the NAB cup. They are and they played like a bunch of 18 year olds. It was interesting though, getting to stand around the huddle listening Sheedy and Choco give their addresses at the end of the quarters. Something us Canberrans don't get the opportunity to witness very often. The stand out for GWS was #24 - Stephen Clifton. Needless to say that he is also the oldest player on thier list. Folau didn't play.
  12. If anyone can post this goal via youtube or other, please do. I can't remember it!!!
  13. 2:41 - Scully goal. Soooooooo gggggoooooooooooooooddddddddddddddd!!!!!!!!
  14. Ha Ha! Man that made me laugh out loud... and on a Monday morning! Well done. Champagne comedy.
  15. Excellent post. As a junior coach, this is exactly what I try and teach. You have to run hard, demand the football and create.
  16. Ok psycho. How about you settle down instead of dropping to the level that you are apparently criticising. Firstly, I would expect a team, IF getting flogged in the last quarter, to man up. How about playing man-on-man to see how that goes for the last 5 minutes to try and get a turnover. Yeah, I understand that there is some sort of "zone" that Dean obvioulsy is trying to get us to implement but FFS, 5 minutes to the end of the game. Lets see who's accountable. Secondly,".....ran as much as you can with a team of men". You obviously watched a different game. Never did we run hard enough BACK. Yes, we all ran forward when we got the footy but when the turnover came, NOT RUNNING HARD ENOUGH. If anyone tells me that "we are a young team", bollocks. My under 16's footy team runs harder forward and back on a ground the same size. Thirdly, Not once did anyone say here we are a premiership team but we would expect us to continue the same intensity as we applied the first 3 qtrs.
  17. Even Zac Dawson is beating us....
  18. Being in Canberra in July, not only does everything freeze in your front yard, but so does Friday night AFL coverage on the car radio. Point being, I was in the car going to pick up Beef Masaman from the Thai house in Weston (plug!) and switched over to 666 ABC to hopefully get the AFL on the radio but got NRL grandstand instead. They were talking about how the NRL teams seem to have multiple guernseys per team and seem to switch "patterns" nearly everyweek. They posed the question of: "The players are used to playing with their team-mates in their 'traditional' jumper more often in the season than not, does the clash guernsey give the players a split second longer to make a decision due to the slightly unfamiliar colours?" - I probably haven't got the idea across or phrased this question properly but the point is: What are the stats in the AFL for win/loss ratio for teams playing in clash guernseys? Is this theory true that possibly, clash guernseys are slightly unfamiliar to the players on game day? Do we or should we, train in the clash strip during the week before we need to play in it? Is this why we can't seem to win wearing the clash? (including that atrocious silver thing we were subjected to)
  19. I'm coming people! - all the way from the polar cap of Australia - Canberra! I'm bringing 4 others. Come on the Dees.
  20. One step ahead of you Rollo. Placed a lazy "sum" on the Dees at $3.66 - And through Deesbet.com.au! (Also a sneaky $20 on Port over Hawks @ $3.16)
  21. Sorry.....scratch that....Wonna to Miller = GOAL!
  22. We are butchering it into our forward line. Killing us!
