In Staffy’s case… yes, I find him a lovely, friendly person but what I think of him doesn’t matter one iota. I was just sharing what I’ve been told by those whose opinion of him does matter, ie. he’s very much loved and respected by seemingly everyone there. Incidentally, when you say you’re thicker than I am, you do mean ‘thicker-skinned’ right? 😉

The original team has been on a training camp miles away and were on their way to the oppo home ground on GameDay. Their bus broke down and because their own town is at about the halfway mark between where they broke down and the oppo home ground but in the opposite direction, it was quicker to round up the misfits and take them to the game in the backup bus.

By no means am I having a go at you 58er, but this really grinds my gears. The thought that ‘fans’ would decide not to attend a match (that they can attend) because we suffered a loss the previous week. I’m wondering if it’s only when the loss is to a team who’re down the sad end of the ladder, or any loss. Either way, I just don’t understand this mindset.

They gave us a generous allocation (compared to tight-arzes Richmond and Carlton) and we’ve (the DA) bought the rest of the bay. So yes, it’s all ours.

Doesn’t matter what any of us think of Staff. The players adore him, as does Goody. Everyone at the club loves him. His coaching prowess aside, he’s invaluable in terms of his relationship with the boys. And that matters too.
