  1. As mentioned there is a test that can be done by physio / doctor which gives a good indication of injury. He would have had an x ray to rule out any fractures and in a few days when swelling goes down he will have a scan to confirm nature of injury. There didn’t look like that twisting motion that generally results in acl tears but more of an awkward hyper extension. Hoping for the best for him as he has had a run of bad luck and was looking a likely prospect for an AFL debut.
  2. Today is what it is and can’t be controlled but surely the AFL could do the fixture so that teams that didn’t play in round zero play each other in round 1 and those that did play in round zero also play each other so that there is no advantage. We will be an entertaining watch this season and I am looking forward to it.
  3. Would love Butters but think Humphrey is more likely to come to us. Would be happy with Humphrey but Butters is a star of the competition and we need a villain in the team. I want a player that we love but opposition players hate and gets under your skin. We are a very nice inoffensive club. Aside from maybe Steven May we don’t have a real villain.
  4. Thank goodness for the Betsy article. Most information we have had about Caulfield in eons. Some sort of statement from the club is not an unreasonable expectation.
  5. No Kozzie then no clue.
  6. Couldn’t agree more. Pig headedness over a [censored] tunnel. We have been crying out for this for decades. Could be worse though, I could get an email from the club asking me to amend my will.
  7. Sure it would be nice however I genuinely don’t see the necessity for a tunnel for direct access to the inside of the track. If the MCG can host thousands of concert goers on the oval at a Taylor Swift concert then surely we can roll some protective mats across 20 metres of track from outside to inside and safely get across without damaging the track. Just [censored] get on with it and think outside the square.
  8. Ryan Hoffman ex Melbourne Storm player who has joined the club as a leadership consultant
  9. Might want to call last drinks at the Camfield, a lot of empty seats.
  10. I know, might even have meatloaf covered. That was awful.
  11. It’s game day and I may be in the minority but I am looking forward to watching the game and am excited to see state of origin back. I love the Melbourne jumper and think it is the best in the AFL but there is something about the big V jumper and it’s great to see it back.
  12. Radio interview with Kingy on club app now under the video section.
  13. It’s a great story. A kid getting a second opportunity playing for the team that he grew up supporting. Already suffered an ACL injury in his young career. Got himself a running coach in the off season. Resilient and hungry and doing whatever he can to get the best out of himself. Love it. Go get em Jai!!!
  14. Agree, are we getting too top heavy off field. What’s he going to do that should be covered by Guerra, Richardson and Lamb?????
  15. All good questions DeeZone. Be interesting to know the job description and is it a match day “strategy” role or more an off field direction of the club “ strategy” role. I was hoping for a Craig Jennings type role.
  16. Couldn’t agree more, even a sit down casual q & a. I think our socials have been pretty good but have missed an opportunity here. Kingy has had his feet under the desk for a bit now so you’d love to get his thoughts on how things are going so far, how was the camp, who’s flying on the track, who has surprised him etc. Thank goodness for our demonland community training reports.
  17. Couldn’t agree more. Jeffo is a neat player, by that I mean good hands and a good kick. As you alluded there are a number ahead of him purely because they play with some physicality and a real intensity around that. He needs to find some and find some quickly. I genuinely hope he does or he will end up being a Sam Weideman who I also think was a neat footballer. We need depth and real competition for spots across all lines to raise performance and climb back up the ladder. I believe we can.
  18. Absolutely bizarre list management
  19. A double hyphen name. Doesn’t get much more Melbourne than that.
  20. We are turning into a development academy for Fremantle
  21. Will need to do reactive change of direction stuff and then start some contact work before getting the all clear.
  22. Excuse my ignorance on this but do we really need a tunnel to get from our admin building to the middle of the track. It’s not like we would be training in the middle of a race meet. Sure a tunnel would be nice but if that is what the hold up is let’s just pass and build the [censored] thing. Members of the community can use the existing tunnels to access the middle of the track, players and staff could use a gate and walk across the track to get there.
  23. A fair few people live from Port Melbourne down to Mornington. Yet St.Kilda get the rest of the Mornington Peninsula off of Melbourne. We just keep Casey. Makes zero sense. The AFL threw a dart. There was absolutely no justification for taking the Mornington Peninsula Junior Football League off Melbourne as a zone.
  24. It is great, Liv is without a doubt my favourite Melbourne AFLW player. I can relate to her journey as I have been witnessing it with my daughter who did her ACL and torn meniscus in the second quarter of her Grand Final in 2024 missing all of this season. It’s a graft and inspirational to watch the journey. Both will come back physically stronger and more resilient for the experience.
