They’ll never make it enforceable because the bookies get more knowledge than the punters. And if you’re a punter, deal with it

It's an ethical thing and everybody should be entitled to the same information. Its the bookies job to use the information better.

I very rarely bet on footy but I had a fair whack on Oliver to get most Brownlow votes for Melbourne in his 2nd season at 150-1 and bookie banned me.

Although Jake wasn’t our best performing Casey player at the time, he was identified as the player to assist us with that given his disposal, footy smarts and ability to win a one one contest. Immediately we started kicking higher scores.

    The rest is history…

FMD who was the best performing Casey player at the time? If he is better than Bowey bring him in. Petracca and Oliver might need to watch their back.

How are those two things anyway related?

If I want to bet on a player winning on the rising star or Brownlow the information is very important.

If I want to bet on Melbourne to win the minor premiers and they aren't transparent with an injury to Oliver it effects the fairness.

  4. Viney doesn't need to tag but he does get the opposition through attrition.

Harmes is our best tagged but why would you rob Peter to pay Paul? We have the best midfield in the league.

If he doesn’t get the nod this week the panel have zero brain cells. What a gem we’ve got here!

I wanted to load up on Bowey but the best player doesn't win.

Daicos is a moral because of name. Don't get me wrong he is a good footballer. But there is no way for AFL PR it goes to Bowey over Daicos.

To be eligible for nomination, the player must be under the age of 21 at 1 January that year, and have played ten or fewer AFL games as of the start of the season. A player can only be nominated once per season; if a player is suspended during the season, he may be nominated, but will not be eligible to win the award.

I ask " Why not" ?   He qualifies.

Is it too early to call JVR the first player to win it twice?

If he dominates the last 9 games and wins it, I still think he is eligible the following year under the criteria.

Nothing at all. The silence coming from my corner these days is deafening

I must admit I got alot of love from mates in the lead up and following the premiership.

I was arguing we were going to win the premiership every year for 20 years straight and then when I realised it was likely last year I shut up and nobody could believe it.

I am getting baited about back to back and a dynasty now. I'm staying quiet again for the same reason.

31 votes last year and 3rd place. Not sure I agree.

He should have got more. Won the coaches award  just 1 vote short of the record.

The umps don't like him he was by far the best player in the league last year.

Petracca or Gawn could win but Oliver won't.

Oliver had what 7 or 8 free kicks paid against him for iffy infringements and yet when he was infringed against...... Play on. CLUB might need to make representations to AFL if this continues

I don't think he is ever going to win a Brownlow, despite being the best player in the league. The umpires hate him.
