My best mate barracks for Brisbane and would normally go with me but has Covid. He reckons his house was shaking in Hawthorn after the Viney tackle.

If Gawn plays I will be disappointed. I love the guy but get him right. Don't take a risk with him.
I wouldn't mind seeing Disco coming back he was good until he got knocked out but Rivers is the obvious choice if we drop bowzer.
If Viney has the slightest niggle rest him until the finals.

I wouldn't worry too much. May has missed 3 games in a row and we lost all of them.
Last time Salem was injured it took him a few weeks to hit form again.
Oliver and Petraccas inside 50's can't be compared to Spargo's who kicks it half the distance they do.
JVR will play later in the season and make our forward line unpredictable again. Goody will leave it as late as possible with coaching funding caps other teams won't know enough about him.

A close family member of mine got diagnosed with ADHD so I did a dr Google search on it and I have alot of the symptoms as well.
But I don't go around acting like de goey.. my family member is too young but that person won't go around acting like that [censored].
The one thing I can't control is all my past girlfriends and my wife complain I kick them in my sleep. If you have it you can't stay still even when you are sleeping in my case

Disco Turner was great in the first until he got got carried off the ground. We have the bye so leaves him time under concussion protocols. He stays for me.

I thought Tomlinson was worse than Hunt last week.
Bring in Disco we need some good news.

Hunt has changed roles. He is no longer required to use his explosive pace for run and carry.
He plays Nev Jettas old role.

I"m only humble because I know how much it pisses my mates off.

Oliver is the best player in my lifetime watching Melbourne. Sorry Robbie.

The thing I love most besides watching it. It adds to to our perceived invincibility. Other teams must be wondering how do you stop that machine.
We are at a point where I am not in the least concerned about us drinking our own bath water.

I have a mate who is an AFL umpire and I gave him a gentle ribbing and said the dees would have won more than 15 straight if it wasn't for the umpires.
He opened up about it and said their training hours have been halved for them
They can no longer train in Carlton which had the appropriate facilities and they need to train at Marvel where they are not allowed on the turf and are made to just stay on the Astro outside the boundary line.
I'm often critical of the umpires but they have to make split second decisions, unlike the MRP who have the opportunity to watch as many replays as they want but are still inconsistent.
From what I understand there a number of umpires retiring at the end of the year and the AFL is panicking and hence bought in you can't throw up your arms rule if you disagree with a free kick. Pretending they care.

Twilight Grand final looks like being announced today.
I'm a traditionalist and like the Saturday afternoon.
But I must say we have never lost a Twilight GF and nobody else has ever won one.

I tried to multi bet the top 8 into each other and the TAB wouldn't let me. Said it was related.
It's not like betting on Fritch kicking 6 into Melbourne winning.
It seems seperate to me.

Jason Taylor doesn't miss.

DeGoey was worse

Goodwin 6 votes - we are not even trying yet. We are not even showing our hand. I can't wait for the finals at the G this year.

Does anyone reckon that bloke who snuck into Perth for the GF is going today? He won't have to go to jail this time.

I went to my cousin's birthday not long after the bridge incident and when Majak walked in he was the most popular bloke in the room.
I wish him well.

It's a good point. I'll choose my words a bit more carefully.
It appears he was more evolved than the sociocultural system in place at the time. He was addressing, sexism, racism and other forms of bigotry 10 years ago in a system that was not ready for that to be addressed. Importantly, he was not being compliant (and is still not) to what he feels is acceptable for his distress to be redressed, whereas I suspect many other people would be compliant.
People get paid out all the time in these situations, people sign non-disclosure agreements. That aint Heretier's style.
Can you help me understand what you meant by
"Can anyone imagine Bernie Vince getting up on the best and fairest night and declaring he was a prince. It simply wouldn't happen"
Thanks for such a considered response.
The reason I bought up Bernie Vince is because he bought in and his family bought in.
I've never read anything about Lamumba's family coming to watch our games while he was playing.
Lamumba seems to me a culture killer. I hate Buckley but agree if you are going to drop recordings do them in full. Don't just cut them to suit yourself

For those that think he should 'move on' - It's often those who say someone should move on, because a) they don't genuinely relate to why someone is choosing to pursue change, or b) they're part of the problem themselves, but just don't see it.
My take is this... (and my client work is with people whereby they feel a system/organisation has never supported them when they've attempted to address cultural or OHS issues (or whatever issue it is).
I always ask the question around their mental health and the choice to walk away and have immediate 'stress or anxiety' taken away to 'move on with their day to day living' - or the choice to continue to hold people/organisations to account, which will be demanding and take a toll often over many years. The impact on them and their families is always huge, always painful.
When an individual chooses to continue to 'fight' against a system that is stacked against them, it's never about money. It's often about protecting others in the future who will come into that organisation.
They are being clear on their values, and behaving inline with that... stepping away is incongruent with creating positive change
He is clearly a principled person (whether you agree with his is another story), and actively choosing not to 'move on' is his prerogative. This is not about ego, it's about values.
The energy and effort that is required by Heretier, is tremendous, compounded further that his is a minority, choosing to speak out and hold to account a system/organisation that failed him.
I normally agree with everything you post @Engorged Onion but I disagree on this. Lamumba wasn't playing with a system stacked against him
He played as a crowd favourite at Collingwood
HE came to Melbourne and we embraced him.

TMac Finals Return?
in Melbourne Demons

On the positive he will back for the threepeat.
Weid isn't the answer. It needs to be Bedford or JVR. Different players but for once other teams need to watch what we are doing and try to stop it.
