  1. I’m all honesty though, how hard would it have been to put our something on his social media simply saying “Thanks to the MFC for drafting me and giving me the opportunity to become a premiership player. I loved my time in red and blue and thanks to the fans for your support. It’s time for me to go home and be with family” - basic decency. He is dumb, no doubt about it, and has been managed poorly by his player agent.
  2. I know he isn’t exactly Einstein, but I reckon his exit has been handled poorly, contrary to his mother’s opinion. He hasn’t explained exactly why he is leaving, no statement thanking the MFC and supporters. He can get stuffed. Dopey muppet
  3. We need to make more than a couple changes. There are obvious gaps in our list, and if not addressed we will just be making up the numbers again. Too many players stalled in their development this year, and may have, in fact, reached their ceilings. It’s not enough to simply bring in 2-3 kids, plus Grundy. Grundy simply replaces Jackson. Yeah, we have a few to work with in the VFL, but we need to bring in 1-2 more experienced players. Look at what Geelong did! They targeted their weaknesses and get players in. We need to be active in that regard.
  4. On Footy Classified, will be held in NSW. Lots of money been thrown at it. Aimed at families and kids, as it will take place in the school holidays. Season to start a week earlier. I don’t see the problem
  5. Few more to come you’d think. Got a sneaky feeling Goody’s mate Melksham May get another year
  6. Players there: May, Lever, Viney, Nibbler, Hibbo, Bowey, Jordon, Gawn, Harmes, Hunt, Ben Brown, Spargo, Sparrow, Salem, TMAC Coaches: Yze, Goody, Chocco, Richardson Past Players: Robbo, Greeny, Woey, Jake Spencer (May have been others) No culture issues. Move on
  7. Selwood with the Jim Stynes award 🤮
  8. Adam Tomlinson is finished Lord Nev. I don’t know what Casey games you’ve been watching, but he is very far off the pace
  9. Had a great day at Ikon park cheering on the boys today. Sat in the pavilion amongst the MFC players and coaches. Was terrific to see so many senior boys there. Despite inclement weather, and playing an interstate team in a state based competition 🤨, there was a good turnout. JVR didn’t hit the scoreboard and it’s a terrible day for a KPF, but man can that kid hit a pack, leap, and back up at ground level. Loved what I saw in-person. Kade Chandler (Chin) was absolutely superb. I was actually surprised he didn’t win the Goss medal. Loved the goal from Taj Woewodin. Was some of the cleanest play all day. Disco Turner looks ready to play in our backline next year. There was a lot of love for Sauce Baker from the MFC boys, but I thought he continued to fail to execute with his disposal. Jimmy Munro is a complete nut! Tough as nails and is so uncompromising. I wish an AFL club would give him a shot. Melksham was very good. Glad for him to finish his career on a high. Maybe he will get a lifeline at a bottom AFL club. Thought Joel Smith was very good in defence too. Particularly in the second half.
  10. That image of Jeremy Howe with the crowd at his back, head in hands is so satisfying
  11. I think we can say it - Brisbane played their Grand Final last week
  12. Kane Cornes and Rucci started the rumour. Typical South Aussie rubbish by the sounds
  13. If you needed further evidence of what really has been going on with the kid and his family, look no further than the post his mother made on Facebook. A lot can be read into that
  14. “The Lions called on evidence from AFL great Luke Hodge and a neurosurgeon as part of their defence of Berry.” Luke Hodge in for some impartial evidence. I mean he mounted the defence for Berry immediately in the media. What a conflict of interest. I hate Brisbane, the grubby wannabe tough guys. We need to dominate them next year. I hope the cats murder them this weekend
  15. Where was the ‘player’s code’ when Buddy faked being hit in the back to milk a free which turned the momentum in the grand final? That guy is seriously untouchable. His antics should have drawn much more attention. Oliver is hated and admired at the same time
  16. I guess a few posters owe @Grand New Flag an apology
  17. Bloke has been gone for months. Distracted the whole season by it. Get the best deal for him and don't get screwed over.
  18. it's funny that i made mention of the thunderclap sticks and suddenly that's become the basis for the whole thread. There is more to it than 'trinkets', but I guess i'll leave it there. The are many ways to create extra hype for games and drag a few new supporters in, maybe some neutrals too. We were given prime time on many Fridays and Saturdays, but did nothing with them. There was barely any atmosphere at all. People will say it should be organic, but many of our marquee slots were against interstate teams. As such, the atmosphere was dull. To whoever mentioned the Demon Spirit merch range, that's AFL arranged not club.
  19. Do you think the club did enough to improve game day experience? We played a lot of night matches. They all felt very run of the mill to me. you can scoff if you wish, but I’d challenge you to answer the question, if you are a regular attendee of course. As I said in the opening post, some will hate the idea of anything novelty at AFL games, strong in their belief that atmosphere should be organic. However, this is about game day/match day experiences, and I thought we didn’t really nail it this year. In fact, it was as if the marketing team took the year off
  20. So blame the fans, rather than find a solution. here’s what you receive at other sports to help lift the noise . Sponsored. Marketing 101
  21. Where the bloody hell were you this year? Our first finals series since winning the grand final and the club didn’t come up with anything special. Every finals game just get like another home and away game. In the past, I can remember numerous promotions run by the club in finals. In 2018, they gave out Zurich supporter flags. Years before, it was demons flashing horns for fans to wear. There was a missed opportunity this year, to do something unique and different. Many have talked about the lack of atmosphere from fans at games. Here’s an idea, get some of those inflatable clapping sticks like the do in US sports. Some will say “no thanks” - but I’d take it over novelty music between goals. It would have been better to manufacture participation that way. I can’t remember a day this year where the crowd were offered anything different, or a novelty experience. After running the premiership celebration so well, I thought we’d see something this year from marketing, but I reckon they botched the opportunity.
  22. If they want a salary dump he will go for 3rd round pick. Like the way we got Ben Brown. That is if they genuinely want him off their books.
  23. Collingwood crowd have gone pretty quiet.
