Suns played exceptionally well and will scare a lot of teams this year. Their defensive effort was top notch and it might have been a different result if King was playing. Move on and let’s hope we can deal those parasites a 0-3 start to the season next week.

Remarkable. Goodwin knew all along we were going to win that game. Only thing I was hoping for was Beverage’s reaction in the last minute of the third.

Just for reference, Hawthorns catchment zone is the Gippsland Power and Eastern region. Ours is obviously Dandenong Stingrays, which shares a border with both. I could be wrong, but I find it hard to believe that Hawthorn would be allowed to directly infiltrate junior leagues in the Stingrays zone.

I’m not sure that it is, outside mids are the issue. Of course the quality drops away after the main trio but name another club that doesn’t have a similar issue? Dunstan was bought in for this very reason…we also have Brayshaw, Harmes Sparrow, Jordon and even ANB ready to step straight in.
