  1. Chook, you have simplified it as it should be. Ball had left the area and then a head high bump caused injury. Onus on Maynard.
  2. Absolutely love it!!
  3. Listening to David King on SEN this morning he was adamant that Collingwood should have 75% of the QF seat allocation because they finished on top. Apart from being codswollop it would not be a good look to have the MCG 75% empty after 3 quarter time.
  4. I suggest that Schache will again be sub. This gives versatility as we can then move Smith back iif need be.
  5. Actually the notion of a double chance is a furphy. Lose your first final and you have a second chance. Win your first final and you lose your second chance.
  6. Glad there are no player signing as we need every one of them.
  7. Maybe G Cornes was just being loyal as he played a season or two with the Shinboners.
  8. I had the same problem and rang the club to book a seat for me. It may have been that I had Ticketmaster opened twice. Try turning your device off and back on.
  9. Kossie giving away more free kicks is minor concern though combined with his lack of free kicks awarded it is worrying particularly as most are in the forward half. Unfortunately I believe that Kossie is now in the umpires book under "small forwards who duck". True or not there are legitimate free kicks that need to be,awarded such as the one not awarded to Adelaide last week that might have changed the result. I fear that Spargo may also be in the umpires book under the same heading.
  10. I am also confused. Several MFC supporters and the MFC tipped in bucketloads to have Gosch's widened and re-surfaced only 12 months ago.
  11. I am not knocking ANB just saying he appears to be out of form. As you say a "knock on" here and a " courageous mark" there is great but even a stopped clock will be of benefit twice day. It is the other 23 hours and 58 minutes that cause problems. ANB needs to be of benefit for longer than two minutes.
  12. As I see it Alex Neal-Bullen is not playing well and may even be a momentum crusher. I would replace ANB with Harmes. Harmes can play a role, is a strong mark and is a good kick for goal. BBB is no longer able to play at AFL level especially at crunch time of the season. I see Chandler as an important link, he is just not kicking to goal as he should although he has shown that he can be accurate early in the season.
  13. Steve May, as always, will play on Tom Hawkins. May owes him a broken eye socket and a hamstring.
  14. With Smith and Petty both playing forward it also gives us a choice if one should need to go and play in the back half. They are both desperately needed marking options forward as well.
  15. "Tacklee" is now firmly planted in my Oxford dictionary.
  16. Agreed Sydee, that is on BBB'S form. BBB is a very ordinary pack mark, always has been. Watching his VFL skills he begins a lead but is soon overtaken by his opponent who then marks and runs on. Should BBB be then able to spoil his ground skills are negligible. Hard to see BBB now ever improving where necessary
  17. Winners and losers. WINNERS Football, MFC, Jacob van Rooyen LOSERS Adrian Anderson, Will Powell.
  18. Soon be Saturday.
  19. At that time of the game and with the result up for grabs van Rooyen had to make a contest. If he is suspended for that then he rightly or wrongly has done the team thing. Twice, if he is suspended.
  20. Well, that should take racism off the back page...or was that the plan?
  21. What and when was the Pickett incident?
  22. It is Demon case...straight to the tribunal.
  23. Before tonight it is long time since Fritsch has been held to zero goals in a match.
  24. Agreed but Chookrat suggested that he flew up as sub. I merely clarified that he was at the venue regardless.
