  1. He’s a bit of a harmless narcissist - revels in the controversial-subjective, knowing it will get under everyone’s skin but also knowing he can’t be wrong.
  2. He’s too busy trying to bury North Melbourne now to worry about this.
  3. Tigs dropping out of the race for 9th with performances like this
  4. He’d be a nightmare to defend - can’t just put your hands up to block a handball you also have to think about defending down low. reminds me a bit of keeping up to the stumps to a medium/quick - they’re generally not looking for the stumping, they’re looking to keep the batsman honest, keeping them further back on the crease so they can’t get to the pitch of the ball as easily. Maybe Hunter throws these little dinky unders in to keep the defender honest? n.b. I never kept up to the stumps to a medium or quick…. Way too much of a pea heart.
  5. First team in any code to get pinged for ‘accessory to the tank’
  6. They’ll look to stretch us for height, especially after the Essendon approach last week. typically we’d just run all over them but with the short break and injuries to some of our smalls, there is more risk in this game than I’m comfortable with.
  7. Could also pick up the likes of Tom Scully, Jack Trengove and Jordan Gysberts… Trust in Jason and Tim to make the right call here, they’re rarely wrong.
  8. He’ll be 9ft by then
  9. Flagmantle currently paying $6 to make the 8 with sbet.
  10. That’s why I hope we don’t boo Jacko. We booed Tom Scully when we were awful and Freo supporters reminded me of us back then - an unsuccessful side who has to boo a player to feel better. Let’s not go back there, Premiership-winning supporters are better than that.
  11. Brayshaw in trouble for that on Libba? To naked eye it looked dodgy
  12. I take this all back. Much more fun seeing him lost without his 21 premiership winning teammates by his side out there
  13. Have the pups returned to Perf since that glorious evening in September, 2021? Might have to put the death ride on ice tonight and enjoy the Doggies midfield twitching as they watch Luke Jackson stroll around the middle of Optus Stadium again.
  14. I’d take Oliver’s 41 useless possessions over Tim Taranto’s 31 turnovers
  15. Each to their own but I just don’t see much benefit in this concept for 85%+ of the footy-supporting public… Appears to make a lot of commercial sense to the AFL/state of SA (and for that reason it will stay) but seeing my team play another side from Melbourne in a different state, in the middle of the season and in front of a bit-of-a-nothing crowd just made zero sense to me.
  16. Classic sign of a club who has spent their pennies and want to spend more. Fair to say AFL strategy, rules and policy aren’t heavily influenced by the Port Adelaide Power’s mid-season PR releases.
  17. Just listened to 3AW clip. First time I’ve believed that they believe they are genuinely close.
  18. If so please take an MFC #6 jumper and wave it in Luke’s face as he walks down the race. The prodigal son is always welcome home (we’ll keep the draft picks though).
  19. Personal fav: “we just have a chemistry issue at the moment”
  20. Haha the logistics are doing my head in!
  21. They are the same ticket though, right? So if I’m a Port supporter and want to watch the Port game I also get a seat at the Melbourne game (which I would imagine many wouldn’t bother rocking up for).
  22. Really?! The stands will be empty for our game until late!!
  23. I hope someone can help me answering this as I’m losing sleep over it; Melbourne v Essendon match will finish roughly 1 hour before Port Doggies match is set to commence at the same ground… How does that worth with ticketing? Do they give people with the Melb Ess tickets 30 mins to leave the ground and then start allowing Port Doggies game ticket holders into the ground 30 mins before bounce? And what about the rubbish and junk that is left all over seats after any afl match… do they just leave it there?
  24. AFL just sent out a post on Facebook about the home/away team decisions for this round and it has our game at 3.40pm… the fixture has always said 4.10pm, right? edit. Ignore: didn’t factor in the different time zone thing
